Fringed Poppy

 Center of fringed poppy

These poppies are annuals that reseed themselves every year in my gardens. They bloom every year in July.

Oh, EG! I totally love these...specially that first. If I was an art quilter, i would want permission to use it to create a quilt.

Such a lovely shade of red, and I like the deeper splashes of color and the ring of stamens. How nice that they return for you.

Your third poppy photo is my favorite, EG camera girl!
In the second photo the background is much too busy. That's what I always try to avoid when taking objects and people. The eye of a viewer should have the opportunity to linger over the main motif without too much distraction.
Have a great start into a new day!
Uwe.
