This clematis grows on an east-facing wall at the back of my house in a place that few people get to see it. But now all that's changed since you're all taking a good look at it. This is how it looked just after a rain shower a couple of weeks ago.
And here's what the blossom looked like with others on the vine.

A beautilful flower. Great captured :-)
I have one this color, but it didn't do well this year. Yours is beautiful.
Beautiful flower and your photography is fantastic!!
Oh goodness, our clematis finished blooming and is on its way to dying back already. It is a dark purple one, I can never remember the name.

Absolutely gorgeous Clematis!
It's a pleasure to see this beautiful clematis against the white wall.
Beautiful!
Oh what a beautiful shade of purple your clematis is! It looks so healthy too. Have a great week!!
I love this shade! I had some growing on my mailbox back in Ga but they were a darker shade of purple. Love this color against the white...just lovely!
Gorgeous clematis!
Aah, flowers. It's like God sprinkled glory down on creation!
Beautiful captures! So very nice.
I didn't realize clematis would even grow up north! Isn't it tropical?
Those are simply amazing.
As for your question about my photo, unfortunately we have allowed that door bells took their place instead of those artistic knocker.
We don´t see that much of tyhem nowadays, so that's why it really caught my eye speciallY because they were rebuilding the whole house!
That is a beautiful flower I love the vine of flowers. It is still hot here. Today it was 83 degrees.
Thanks for the visit and comment! Yes the yellow flowers are poppies, they just popped up in my garden.
Ah, my favourite. Beautiful clematis and great photos :)
Did you change your post?
Or am I suffering from a very senior moment??
Wonderful flower, "cool feet hot head" that's how I learned to grow this one. :D
Oh, I love clematis. My neighbor used to have one growing on a lamppost (we both moved away from that block). I love how the drops of water are hanging from the flower.
Very, very beautiful picture.
So beautiful!
Gorgeous! One of my favorite vines.
This color is beautiful.
I love Clematis; my mother has a vine of similar hue. You caught its character perfectly.
Your clematis is gorgeous - such a pretty colour!
That is a gorgeous flower! Such a delicate color. We have clematis also, but a much darker color. I have posted pictures here.
Clematis, my favourite! I have them too in my yard. :)
So beautiful flower and shot.
Hi,
What a shame ... so beautiful and no one to admire, but now you gave him a great opportunity and is sampled for the world. I thank you for participating in another edition of the FT.
