The colour tones and textures in this bird are amazing! What a beautiful shot!
I love this shot!
The subdued colors and excellent detail make this a truly outstanding photograph, well done!
And isn't it a little darling? You got a grand shot here.
What an excellent picture of the little seed eater. The American Goldfinch is Washington's state bird. Great shot. MB
Quite close ! birds are so much fun to have around. And a very pretty countryside skywatch too !
The goldfinch is just beautiful, and this is a great photo.
They are still so wonderful in their fall dress. I just love the feather detail you've captured.
Excellent!
WOW...the clarity of this shot is 10+ ...wonderful shot!

What a fat little critter. Looks well fed for the winter season.

And! Cast your vote for Thanksgiving Dinner!
Absolutley wonderful. So different to our European ones. Your goldfinches look like our siskins.
That is a terrific shot!
what a cute bird! great photo!
Beautiful photo!!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. My sisters dog just loves the pool. He dives and swims and gets out and dives and swims some more. Very fun to watch and take pictures of!
Take care
What a great shot and your compostition is wonderful. How do you get your pictures this size on your blog? It's very impressive looking and really highlights them beautifully.
Wow! Great shot!
I played too :)
Greetings from Juneau (Alaska) Daily Photo!
You take some incredible photos of birds.
The trees in our yard have been full of all kinds of activity. No, goldfinches, but lots of crossbills and chickadees. Many of the birds are heading south. They don't stick around long enough for me to identify.
EG: That is an excellant photo, really nicely done.
That's a great photo of a very pretty bird!
I just love to see photos of birds specially when you get them so close, i just never lucky enough to get them like that
Our Goldfinch is the bird that trumps yours for colour.
Lovely little bird.
But I hope the American Goldfish knows that he'll require a valid passport to visit Canada next year!
Aileni,
Tee hee. Stick around till spring and I'll photograph a more colourful goldfinch. Their colour turns quite dull this time of year. ;-)
Wonderful photo!
Great photo of the goldfinch. I've got some cheeky squirrels for Camera Critters this week.
