What a great brick or stone lighthouse. All light houses, big or small are so neat looking.
Perfect for the monodhrome. MB

I adore the stonework! Wonderful choice for a monochrome — the result is very dramatic.

Lovely shot! The b&w works well with this subject and the dramatic skies.

There is that something special about lighthouses (this one I would very much have liked to see in colour too!)

A copy of this would look great hanging on my wall. It would also be nice to sketch or paint. It's one of my favorites. Nice job!

Truly excellent picture. If it was on film I would say you had used a red filter to get that sky.

Beautiful shot, we dont have any lighthouses in Alberta :(.

Perfect subject in B&W.
I love this lighthouse made of heavy appearing stones or bricks. Usually , these buildings seem to soar up toward the sky, here, it looks like a donjeon.
Great.

That's a beautiful lighthouse and I like the way you shot it. The clouds behind it are the perfect background.

I love lighthouses and this photo is especially good!!!!

It looks like Tuesday will be my last posting on Sitka Daily Photo. In these questionable economic times I feel very lucky that my business is taking off and growing. But, I know it is not going to grow on its own, so that means I need to put more time into it. Of course that means less time for leisure things like blogging and taking photos.

I’ll keep checking in on your blog from time to time, because I always enjoy your posts and photos.

Thanks for all your extra kind words on my blog over the last year!

Take care,

Oh, I love lighthouses! You should see my house- it's full of lighthouses- figurines, wall hangings, you name it. And this photo is just gorgeous! B/W fits it so well.
