Morning After a Light Snow
Please note: Sky Watch is the post below.
Today this part of Canada is almost a natural monochrome, lovely in it's own way to my eyes.
And now for a shock. I've been declared HOT! Who would've thunk it? OK, truth be told, it's not ME that's hot but my blog...but that's almost the same thing, isn't it?
Thanks Rose! I've been visiting Rose's place for some time now as we enjoy photographing many of the same things. But what I like most about her blog is Rose herself, her down-to-earth quality that's so refreshing in this hustle-bustle world. It's a bonus that she takes great photos too.
Be sure to visit Rose at Pics and Pieces, another HOT blog. You can visit Rose at http://picsandpiecing.blogspot.com/

I LOVE this photo. It reminds me of wintry days when I was a kid. We would sled down the roads.
And you ARE hot! Or at least your blog is. And it IS the same.
This looks like a painting, the compostion is spot on. So strange to see snow everywhere after being away from it all these years. Beauitful.
I love the black/white/shades of grey in this photo.
The first thing I thought of when I saw your award was "that's going to melt the snow", LOL!
Darla
love the sky watch photos and really love this photo... we dont get snow her eoften ...its been 6 years or so since the last one... so its wonderful to see it :)
This picture is literally breath taking (at least to me). Thanks for sharing.
It looks more like a ski jump than a road. Wow. Do you actually drive up and down that road without chains on the tires?
Only a Canadian would call this 'light snow' .. seriously ..
Great shot!
:-Daryl
Well deserved and now you can use it to melt that road! :-)
For some reason it isn't showing up for me, darn!
Congrats on the hot blog award, you hottie you!
What a wonderful photo! Love so much snow's pictures! Well done!
Me again. Congratulations on your HOT AWARD!
Hey thanks for the kind words...you know you and Tom (I still miss his Wigger's World blog), and Carletta and Dot were some of the very first blogs I started following...and there are plenty others that I follow every day, and some that are most days, but you guys were some of the very first that I followed every day. And pictures like you have today are the reason why, plus you do feel like someone I might have grown up with.
That is a wonderful shot. Snow has a way of slowing, silencing, stopping everything for a divine moment. Your image captures that spirit of peace.
Wow, that is beautiful, even though I'm not quite sure I'd want to see it in my neck of the woods just yet... ;)
Well, you do have a HOT blog! I love the photo. It make me shiver, but it sure is beautiful.
This road looks like a great place for the kids to sled ride. This is the type of snw I long for in winter. Just a light coating on the roads and trees, NOT the overwhelming kind like we have here. Tonight the winds have picked up, and there is more snow of the hard pellet kind banging on our windows.
I love your photo of the snow. Glad I am not there, I would have to hike everywhere, I don't drive in snow or ice.... Thats a very good thing. :D
Your photos continue to be excellent and congratulations on your award!!
Stunning shot and very nicely composed.
Fantastic scene!
What a great photo. Down the road I go. MB
This is a great photo. Love the different tones.
Looks pretty darn cold to me. Pretty scene.
