Lately I'm fascinated by shadows. If only the sun would indulge me more! At last -- as you can see -- it broke through the clouds long enough for me to snap this photo.

Wonderful capture, EG
you trend setter! now I am going to be looking at shadows... :D
Beautiful shot!
I'm fascinated by them, too. This is an awesome one.
There is only one thing to say -Classic.
But I'll say more anyway... I love the purity of the image. Magnificent.
Great shot! I love the way you've composed this one.
I love this shot. The shadow shows off the iron work so well.
It's great you caught this shadow! My Monochrome shot is up on Wednesdays... :)
I'm fascinated by this shadow at least! You could have even left out the bench itself and it would be compelling. But I'm glad you didn't. I love the texture it adds to the shot.
that's a good shot w/ the shadow on the wall. great in b&w
Cool shot! I like the simplicity of the shot, and the complexity of the shadow.
Oh, I like this. I must check out shadows more, BUT you do need some sun..
B.
Ha! sometimes we beg for sun jst to chase a perfect shadow, huh? But to no avail but suddenly when your not intended to have one, then a perfect shadow come along your way.
Just HURRY & cam must be handy.
Love the B&W...
TY for dropping by...
The shadow looks better that the original bench - good idea for a shot.
Amazing photograph, has depth and a lot of nuances of grey!
Marvellous post!
I love shadows too, but I don't see them often enough! I really like the shadow her contrasting on the white wall. Great shot.
What a beautiful shot. I love the intricacy of the end of the bench in the shadow. The end probably wouldn't even be noticed if it wasn't for the shadow.
What beautiful curves of the iron the shadows captured!
Fabulous capture really sharp shadows and lovely framing.
Interesting pattern...I can almost see a quilt out of that.
I LOVE it...quite an AWESOME shadow!
Very nifty shot. Love the bench more than the shadow but they go together nicely.
Sweet and simple and so evocative of relaxation and the outdoors. It's great.
absolutely beautiful! wishing you more sunshine. :)
Wow!!look at the shadow?
Isn't it beautiful in B&W.
Beautiful!
Such clarity! Nicely composed and great use of light too.
Love how the star is prominent even though barely noticeable on the bench. Very nice!
I can't do shadows - no sun. :)
Oooh, I really like this. Love the shapes and shadows. Good one.
:-)
No problem with the effect here - I must notice that combination.
The shadow effect is very nice. I like this picture!
I like the shadow effect too on the artistic metal of the bench. It kinda of brings the mind into the gap looking between the shadow and the light.
All I can say is YAY!! the sun is shining. Neat shot too. MB
Shadows seem hard to come by lately with the cloudy and stormy weather we've been having. Always found benches to be a good focal point.
I love the star in the shadow!
Wonderful shadow shot. Hope you have lots more sun in the next days.
Darla
Fantasic shadiow but a non less interesting bench!
EG: Very neat shadow shot, cool bench.
Perfect MM shot! I love it. I love how the star shows through in the shadow, but you can't see it on the bench. Brilliant! What a terrific shadow. Hi from Cal.
They are lovely photos.
Made me feel cold though love the shadows of the bench.
Wonderful ! Pure B&W shot. Your patience has been greatly rewarded.
Very artistic, EG. I love it.
Beautiful. The reflection suggests a half open book.
