Skating Outdoors/ MyWorld

Nothing like skating in the great outdoors!

And notice you can't start them skating too young.

I use to skate when I was a kid, but as I grew older I became increasingly more subject to gravity! :)

I guess I would have to pass that ... the only skaters I got into my foot where roller ones and both times I landed flat on the ground!
But it's a very nice shot.

And I sure did like the monochromatic one.

What a nice world ! I post tomorrow tuesday.

They're not that bad at skating! The ones I love are the tiny ones pushing a chair around on the ice (to hold them upright).

no question, in ontario we have more than our fair share of nice barns, dead barns, and skating!!! and no, i did not know where east gwillimbury was!

Wonderful, we don't have any skating rinks anymore. I loved them growing up.

I used to skate every Saturday night when I was a kid. It was so fun.

Oh, how I remember those days. One year I broke my collar bone ice skating on my birthday, and the very next year on my birthday I fell and broke my wrist while skating! I did get better at staying upright.

I like the sharpness of the photo. It's a very happy image too, must be because of the colors.

I would have wanted to learn to skate, but growing up in the tropics this was not possible.

EG: Excellent photo of the skaters. Canada and skating do coincide.

Very colorful photo of a neat outdoor sport! I went ice skating when I was in my early 30's for the first time -- it wasn't bad! I jsut never had another opportunity to do it with friends so I don't go to the indoor rinks we have now.

From a nandina bush next to my house - they are red all winter with red berries. Although its been in the 50's, 60's and 70's consistently all winter. The rest from a hike along the Oklahoma river yesterday.

Great post for My World.

Wonderful to see all those happy people skating or just walking on the ice. Everybody here was happy as long as there was ice, but now it's melting again.

Wonderful ice landscape!

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Growing up in the sunny South where the only rinks are indoors the closest I came to this was street hockey on rollerblades -- and that wasn't until my 30's. So I concur wholeheartedly... you can't start 'em too young!

Looks like a blast!

I gave away my ice skates 2 years ago, I hope these youngsters have a lifetime of enjoying skating.

I love ice skating and haven't been in far too long! Great photo!

Looks like cold fun. I'd need double runners. Always prefered roller skating in warm weather, or in the basement.

It sure looks cold while those kids are playing. They look like they are having fun though. Thanks for sharing you pictures. Hope you have a great day.

I like all the colourful outfits the skaters are wearing. They all skate better than me!

Feeling cold enough in Delhi without the snow - experiencing my first winter!

Ah, yes, but you can start too old. :) Great photo and great winter scene - thanks for sharing with us.

We never get enough ice here to do that. It looks like so much fun!

Love the sign - except I want to paint over that unwanted apostrophe! That's so wrong!

That looks like fun. I can see me now getting more bruises from falling than getting fun out of this though. :-)
