Feeling Crabby?/ Ellipsis...
Only a crab apple could feel crabby on Valentine's Day, right?
I can't believe the birds have left these on a neighbourhood tree. Maybe they're saving them for dessert?
This week's Ellipsis...Monday Photo Shoot assignment (due Sunday night, February 15) is "red."
FYI: Camera Critters is the post below.

Red "apples" against a blue sky - I liked that.
The crab apples look a little like they have frozen and thawed a few times. Nice placement.
Crab apples are what a lot of stay-over-winter birds eat here where I live. Robins especially. But a whole tree can be consumed by a flock of starlings.

Hi New Friend :)
This is your first time playing the Monday Photo Shoot... right? I wish I had your first name so I can introduce you properly on the Linking List next Monday, but for now I will say New Friend :)
CRABAPPLES! I LOVE them! I used to buy spiced crabapples for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but they stopped selling them in the stores around the Bay Area... can't find them anywhere! :( I really miss them a lot, so this picture made me smile. Fun.
Welcome, once again, I hope you will be able to join us each Monday for a new photo shoot assignment!
All my best, Carly
Happy Valentine's Day to you too!!!
All you need is a little snwo for red, white and blue . . . oops, that's my colors in US. . . well tht was my first thought. I am surprised they are still there. Beautiful contrasts!
It's pretty amazing that they've hung on this long. Don't you get a lot of snow and ice where you are? It's a lovely shot against the blue. I love it when people aren't afraid to photograph flowers and fruits when they aren't at their "best."
Welcome to EMPS!
I thought these are cherries!
I'd know those berries anywhere. Nice shot.
If I was feelilng crabby this photo would put a smile on my face. Maybe I should bookmark it just in case.

What a yummy red. Loved the contrast. Welcome!
They look shriveled up, as though they were already pickled. LOL! Very interesting red item. Great shot!
Cool shot. It is surprising they are still hanging around. They look nice against the blue sky.
