About Me

- East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Ignorant question, EG, whose nest is/was it?
(Stupidity is the active pursuit of ignorance.)
Sorry, Jenn, but I don't know. Every maple tree on both sides of a north-south country road has a nest very similar to this one. The birds haven't returned to the trees yet.
Hi EG, I know that our squirrels around here live in big nests like that.. But--I don't know the actual size of yours. It is amazing how many nests DO make it through the long winter.
Great picture.
Hugs,
Betsy
Very nice shot! We've got nests in our oak trees, but I can't get a clear shot of one. Yes, the songbirds are singing - very loudly, in fact.
Spring has sprung!
By golly that nest looks like it could be used again.
B.
Cool shot and great capture. Thanks for playing along, today.
Cool nest. Could it be a hawls? It looks very big. MB
We've got lots of those in our trees. . . your sky is so beautifully BLUE! Guess we all get a day or two here and there with those gorgeous skies!
I also posted on your goat one.
I know, I know!! It's a Canadian Bird. :>)
It looks too big for a robin...but it looks well made like one of theirs. And you probably know a robin's nest.
Hi!
It looks a frayed around the edges from the weather. But still good enough for another year. Have a great day!!
Sherrie
The nest will soon be occupied again, with a little bit of renovation on behalf of the new tenants.
The sparrows are congregating around my multi-apartment bird house, squabbling over who gets the compartment with the best view.
That's a good point: we have a lot of squirrel nests in our trees here. They are made of leaves, thou'.
We had a big storm in December, though, and we lost trees, as well as the nest I could see from my window. The leaves just blew away.
Believe it or not EG, we have small parrots in a nest like this that have survived the winter! :)
This is a great composition of an interesting empty nester! When the birds return, could you tell us what kind of birds they are?
Thanks for your visit! I am always happy to see you!
All of your photos are beautiful. Love the one with the snow plow. It looks very pretty and peaceful.
Yes, we've been hearing some bird song of a morning, too. Isn't it nice?
This is a great picture -- I like the blue sky in the background. Hopefully someone will move in and you can get pictures of the new family.
