April Snow/ Sepia Scenes

Still too early to plant the fields

Here I was thinking it's spring, but Mother Nature disagreed. (Isn't April Fool's Day celebrated on the 1st?)

The good new this time of year is the snow won't last. The temperature is rising to 8°C (47°F) by Thursday. Snow is pretty...but so are daffodils! And I want them to bloom here soon.

Very pretty scene, EG. But I am sure you would rather see sunshine and green stuff. MB

Very nice scene. I wish we could jump the fence and investigate the place.

I understand your frustration with the false hopes of Spring. Here we have had three days of snow covered ground and I am hoping that it is gone soon. It is supposed to be warmer toward the weekend so I am hopeful. I just hope it lasts for a while longer as my baby brother is getting married next weekend and I would love to do some outdoor images with them weather permitting.

I thought you were done with the white stuff. Bring on the daffs!

Don't they say that winter can come again until May? At least, that's a French saying! This is a gorgeous scene, it makes me think of "little house on the prairie"... ;-)

Mother Nature just wanted to give you one more chance to capture another delightful snow scene.

Well it's still pretty ... even if it's forgotten it's supposed to have melted by now.

I just love the scenes you find Gwilli. I would like to walk into this photo and stay for a while - warm coat and boots, of course.

About my sepia photo - check my reply to you at my sepia post.

Beautiful Sepia landscape!

It seems that the EG area is like the saying "Great White North". Although in Southern CT, the temps are not much greater than in Ontario. I like the look of snow, but I am growing weary of the frozen precip. Where is the proper Spring weather!

I'm glad the temperature is rising. I would love to see your photos in spring and summer. I think they will be magnificent as well. Have a great week :)

This looks like a very artistic, beautiful etching of a rural landscape! The sepia tone has a magical effect!

What a fabulous place this is, So much history there if walls could talk

This is one of those photographs that would look great framed and hung! It's just plain excellent!

These old and beautiful farms go well with the Sepia format. There is a longing here where the past seems to hang in there for future generations to learn from

Oh EG.... I know how much you want to see SPRING --and not more snow. Hopefully, as you said, this snow won't last...

Great sepia scene....
Hugs,
Betsy

Me too, Dot. Maybe when the snow is gone so my footprints are invisible. ;-)

It's such an austere and beautiful scene. But yes, daffodils would be nice, too. :)

You have snow in April?
Wow, we have about 28°C here right now.
But still a beautiful scene! :)

You're graced with such beautiful scenery, the sepis gives the view a special kind of simplicity that I just love.

This is a beautiful scene, but I hope you can soon show it to us again without any snow!

What a change from last weeks photo! I love seeing the daffodils at my parents' house in spring. Hopefully, you'll have flowers sprouting soon.

I couldn't agree more - The snow in the winter is pretty as it falls, but the spring flowers sure are pretty too! Great sepia!

Such a different scene from your previous post. :)
Great sepia scene against the snow however.
We actually had a about a quarter of an inch last night. Doesn't seemed to have hurt anything luckily.

A chance to capture it in this beautiful state before the ugly slush of melted snow :)

Beautiful picture! I'm always in awe of the lightness that snow creates and this picture captures that so well.

Snow at Easter???? I remember in 1977, all the Canadian girls were wearing thin white cotton dresses for Easter service.
