About Me
- EG CameraGirl
- East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

That's a breathtaking beauty.
I'd say! But it makes a fantastic b&w photo! :)
It's become a Fractured Fairy Tale.
I'd love to follow you around for a week to see how you find such lovely subjects!
A superior photograph! It has more beauty in ruin than it probably did when new.
Ahhh---I felt so sad when I saw this image. It has a beauty in it's own way. MB
Great photo, EG... I love seeing OLD things in monochrome... I grew up with all B&W photos---so seeing them again brings back memories...
Love seeing the old chicken coop---but I do hope the chickens did 'fly the coop' to a new home!!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
I bet that was quite a fancy piece of farm architecture in it's day. It's still pretty spectacular!
Odd how these old building capture our imagination.
I love this shot.
I've just started playing around with black & white film photography.
I just dropped off my first roll of film, to be developed. Can't wait to see the results :-)
Even tho it is in disrepair, I bet it was a great home to many chickens in its heyday! I am sure none flew the coop but left properly with their heads on the chopping block! Only then did it fall into disrepair.
Makes a wonderful mono subject.
Wow - shabby but full of character. Great subject and shot!
I like that very much...
reminds me of when I was young...
We kept chickens...
Sorry! No info on the bike until Thursday true Colours...:-)
The house still has it's own charm. There is something appealing to me about ruins.
Better Homes and Gardens perhaps not, but it's a stunning monochrome.
Sad though to think of all the care that went into building it in the first place, only to have it neglected and abandoned now.
There is a very haunted look about that old barn.
No more available even for chicken.
A risky house. And a perfect subject for our meme. Not for cleanliness's Maniacs.
Wow! This is older and more shabby than both of the buildings that I have posted the last days. And ofcourse - I love it! We should go photohunting together - East Gwillimbury isn`t to far away from Norway, is it? LOL ;)
Whish your week to be the best :)
Makes for a better subjest to photograph in its present state. Nice one.
An amazing building. Nobody cares any longer.
What a find!
B.
Great shot here! I love the crumbling roof particularly.
Great shot! It took me a minute to realize why it looked so small next to the barn. :-D
Great contrast in light and dark in this photo. Love it (as I do all your photos).
It might need a nail or two, but it made an excellent subject for a photo.
Oh my that is a bit run down .. LOL ... excellent shot!
What do you mean: not fit...you make it look like a great sculpture for any garden any time.
...but perfectly fitting for b&w. Very nice shot!
Very cool, it looks like you worked the photo very similar to how I worked the one I did. Nicely done.
It is a wonderful picture!
This one makes me feel like I am stepping back in time...
The chicken coop may be rundown, but the photo is just fabulous.
I may be overly fond of the rundown and forlorn, but I love this.
