Island Grove/ Sky Watch
Now cottages populate this island located in the southwest end of Lake Simcoe, and the only remains of the Chippewa settlement is Chief Joseph Snake’s grave.

Our Variety Show is over for another year, and I can get back to the blogging business! Lovely picture of Snake Island.... Lake Simcoe, right?
This sky is outstanding!
This place is the heaven!
Thanks for sharing
Léia
Beautiful scene and I envy those who live there.
Lovely! Who wouldn't want to live there?
That's a painting, right? ;-)
Amazing photo. What colours!!!!!
I'm not afraid of snakes and would happily go in search of a big fat rattler on Snake Island....! What a name!
Fantastic color in the sky! What a pretty place to live.
Red Sky at night, sailor's delight.
This is a delight even for us land lubbers.
wow! is really amazing!
cheers,
What a warm, golden sky! I'd love to be in one of those cottages!
Wonderful sky on this shot! And the rough water - and the house looking very close to the water - is perfect located in the pic!
A very nice picture divided into three parts - and a text to match! I would have loved a close-up of the light-house I glimpse among the trees.
What a great sky shot.
Glorious close of day!
The colors of the sky are fascinating. Isn't that just a lovely place to see and explore on the weekends?
The title of your postfor Snake Island suggests it is like a beautiful sanctuary! And the delightful tones of light in the sky make the island look quite heavenly!
Great pictures, great colors!
An amazing place to be! What a stunning sunset!

Snake island is sizzling with lush golden light.
Very nice! The scene looks quite remote.
I just love your SkyWatch picture! It´s such a harmony in it :)
What a very special place EG. That old house is gorgeous. Love this scen and the colour of the sky above it. Again you have managed a wonderful photo.
That is such a gorgeous shot, great flaming colors! Thanks, too, for the info regarding Snake Island. Very interesting! Happy SWF!

Love the photo and the history, I hadn't heard of it before. I did spend one autumn on Simcoe, some 30 years ago, and remember it was stunning.
Simply beautiful capture.
Have a great weekend

The second image is stunning.

Beautiful skies...I wonder why its called Snake Island.
That sky is outstanding. Makes my sunset pretty dull!! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photo. What a beautiful place to live.
Some day, we hope to capture a yellow sky. Did you use any filters?
Love the history that goes along with the post!

Awesome...no other word for it!
More eye candy! Thanks for the pretty picture to start my morning!
WOW!!! Gorgeous pic, incredible colors.

Wow...such glorious beauty, great shot! I love the little honey bee below, I'd give anything to see her in my yard again. I think all the aerial spraying has really contributed to the demise of our lil' pollen-covered friends here in Iowa.
Gorgeous sky and place. Looks like a perfect time for sky gazing.
Beautiful....
I would love to spend a quiet summer there!
Beautiful photo and what a location! Excellent.
Beautiful colors in the sky and a great shot of an impressive structure. Love that turret.
Spectacular capture. Love it. Happy Friday.
Smiles Barbara
This is beautiful!
What an absolutely spectacular sky!
Gee wizz, WOW!
A gorgeous sunset perfectly photographed! I agree with RuneE: The composition of the photo divided into three parts is very nice. Have a beautiful weekend!
Fabulous capture. Fantastic color in the sky! Have a nice weekend.
