The Ferry to Snake Island on Lake Simcoe
Once the lake freezes over, the ferry will close down for another year. Many of the cottages are closed down already. It's hard to believe that snowmobiles, all terrain vehicles and ice huts will once again rule over these waters.

I'm sure it is just my imagination, but, it even looks cold.
That stuff looks cold, is cold.
It's just to early in the am to face this.
Interesting view! Our major river hasn't frozen for a very long time. People say that you could walk over it and even cars went over it a long time ago. Hard to believe. . . I love the colored leaves but I am not ready for it to get so cold until we have snow.
It is hard to imagine all that water freezing over - post pics when it does, ok? Of course you will :-)

Lovely. Ice fishing sounds like fun.I like cold.
So beautiful! I can't believe it's that time of year already. Our lakes and rivers hardly ever freeze over here... they just get crusty around the edges.
brrrr. the lake freezing over, I'm not ready.
Amazing to think that you can drive across a lake that size! It just doesn't get that cold here.
Beautiful photo
Ah... seasons. Don't you just love them all...
Adorable scenery! I'm waiting for more pictures with snow from there!I'm very curious because this COLD winter isn't normal for a brazilian girl! I hope to see snow here in Luxembourg! :)

i like the colours in the sky!!!
It looks cold already! When winter comes, it will look like a different world. It is fascinating how one season can change the whole scenery.
It sure looks cold. I am looking forward to the winter here in Norway, and we can go skating on the lakes. Have a nice week
Time changes everything. This is a very fine photo, but like B Squared said, "it even looks cold."
Beautiful sky!!!
What a beautiful ride, and that sky is gorgeous.

I think I'd give it at least a couple of weeks before you try your snowmobile on the lake . . .
