At first glance I thought "it's the rectory next to that church", then I looked hard at the church and it has a ... barn door? interesting, I like the cottage for the hobbit Reverend.

I love this... Sepia suits this so well...
Sepia looks nice here. The monochrome deletes the other colors, so the shapes and craftsmanship can be better admired. This stone abode has a style and character that dwarfs the modern wood houses of today. Old has far more class than modern!

I had to let you know that I worked & worked on my pics last night to do sepia pics like you described - 2 layers & 70% opacity - they look ok, but still not near as good as yours. I'll post my results next Sepia Scenes. I had no idea about that effect or how to do it, but my brother helped me figure it out. I just love your pics, especially your sepias! Thanks!

My friends live in a stone house that's 200 years old. It's cold and drafty. Their great room is the only room in the original house. They added on a kitchen, bathroom and a couple of bedrooms. The only bedrooms in the 200 year old part are up very steep stairs. Ya gotta be young to live in a stone house... :) Love your sepia tone, EG!

Roger or me one is all the time wishing we could see inside of some of the homes...the older homes. I never even think that way about new homes.
