Old, old bell
The bell is now permanently in this position on a tall pedestal beside the waterfall in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. Unfortunately I forget whether this bell still has its clapper or not. I took the photo in September.

Looks like you caught it in mid-clang.
I love bell's sound!
I can imagine it, this picture is really great!

I like the picture...and the word 'clapper' reminds me of Johnny Carson's show that had the guy from dragnet on.

I was going to say the same thing as B Squared! hehehe Nice sepia
Your blog makes me homesick for Canada!
Lovely, lovely photographs.
I wonder why they frozen the bell in that position!
I enjoy your sepia scenes. Up here we're getting to be pretty monochrome, except for the snap dragons that are still hanging out at the end of the dock. Pretty warm November.
cheerio!
It may or may not have a clapper, but it makes a perfect sepia scene. I like the angle at which the bell is set.
How unusual.
Fénelon. Have you ever googled Fénelon?

I wonder if there's a connection...
I always like seeing these old bells. Great shot. Makes a nice sepia scene.
I see you have been reading Hemingway - very fitting for such a nice picture.
There sure is a lot of movement in the picture. Clouds, vegetation and bell all blend together and I expect a clang of the bell at any instant.
The picture of the bell looks great! Yes I have heard of Hollands Landing and Fenelon Falls. Very beautiful up there...thanks for sharing and for stopping by my Blog.
Fear not... HAPPY HOLIDAYS... oh, eh?
Beautiful shot!
Lovely old bell. Even if it doesn't have a clapper I bet it still rings in someones memory
Neat old bell, EG... Love it in sepia.
Hugs,
Betsy
I love the treatment--it looks like it's made of stone
It looks like it is ringing now. Nice shot. MB
Hi ! Did you know that this should suit so well to next Shutterday challenge Bells (or was it next Thursday challenge ?)
Beautiful! I love the big wheel! The bell looks as if it was made of concrete. (;
