First Dusting/ Sky Watch

Sunrise over first snow
Tuesday morning, we woke up to a dusting of snow, the first of the year. By noon it had melted and everyone but Frosty the Snowman was happy.

The forecast called for a half inch of snow here, but we saw nothing of the sort. I'm not really ready for snow yet, anyway. Beautiful Sky Watch shot

I suspect that this first dusting is a harbinger of things soon to come. You've captured a beautiful morning sky.

OMG!!!! That is a gorgeous shot. Look at all the light behind the cloud. Nice.

A little dusting, eh? We had frost yesterday and again this morning. It does make for lovely skies. MB

Such beauty you have captured here. The beauty of the snow and the beauty of the sun playing around the clouds. However, it is the fencing lines that highlight this beauty and give it depth. A terrifically composed image.

Today it was freezing in my country for the first time of this year. But still we have no snow. I envy you a bit:-)
Beautiful photo. Your sky is amazing. Happy skywatching.

Oh wow, already? I'll pass on the snow, but I love that sliver of gold in the sky.

(Sorry for not getting by earlier - I just spent the past two days preparing for the opening my new etsy store - my head is still spinning!)

Yesterday when it was in the 60s here in Boston, I was posting a package home to my dad in Peterborough. The postmistress asked if they had snow yet. I told her I rather doubt it as your weather is similar to ours. I guess I was wrong.

Beautiful snowy shot! However the sun behind the clouds seem ever flaming, though I know it doesn't feel that way.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Your first dusting took me back to when I was 20 in Canada. It was my first snow fall, it wasn't a dusting. Just a few white little tiny balls of white pellets. I thought some one had sprinkled white fertiliser. What do you expect from some one who grew up in the Tropics.

Then that year, the skies satisfied me, it was a record 28 minus degrees.

The year was 1975.

We had about the same snow, and it is gone too. What a beautiful color behind the clouds.Happy SWF.
