Six/ Photo Hunter

SIX-sided window

Yes, indeedy, a hexagon! And some of the leaded glass inside the window are also six-sided.

This week's Photo Hunter challenge: six.
OOPS! Clearly, I cannot count. This is indeed an 8-sided window. LOL   Jokes on me!

Mother/ Photo Hunter

Mother and child, dairy-farm style

This week's Photo Hunter challenge: mother/mom

OK, I didn't hear this calf actually call this cow "mom" but it did say "moo" and that's pretty close.

Vertical/Photo Hunter

Eugenia Falls
Eugenia Falls is a 30-metre ((100-foot) almost vertical drop.  Yep, just about straight down. Luckily there was a concrete wall between me and the falls when I took this photo!

This falls became well known in 1832 during a  gold rush just after a farmer spotted some glittering stones in the canyon. More than 200 hopeful miners rushed in only to discover that "all that glitters is not gold."  They had discovered iron pyrite, fool's gold.

This week's Photo Hunter challenge: vertical

Sweet/ Photo Hunt

Sweet Violet (botanical name: viola odorata)

This photo is from my archives as sweet violets won't be blooming in my lawn for at least another week or two. I am looking forward to seeing these cheerful  woodland perennials.

Average/ Photo Hunter

An average sundown on an average winter day, driving towards an average big town
This week's Photo Hunter challenge: average

Even the bridge is average, except that it isn't finished. From here you can only drive south on the 404. In a few years (that's an average guess) we will also be able to travel north.
