No, it doesn't mean you...unless, of course, thou are trespassing...in Florida, you do want to obey such signs as you might just run into a redneck with a big shotgun!
Who would hunt for other things than photos without permission? In Norway they pay high prices to go hunting, no catch guaranteed. Your shot was a tenner, with or without a snowball. From Felisol
Of course not! Of course if there are hunters who would ignore such postings, I hope you're WEARING red (or orange) when you go on these shoots ;-) Hugs and blessings,
Since my family and I had a gun drawn on us for looking at a one room schoolhouse my husband had gone to I don't take the chance anymore that it doesn't mean me. ;)
Around here we sometimes see such signs that have been used for target practice. I doubt that you were trespassing, and publishing the sign just could help, so I suspect you're in the clear!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

The sign looks a bit worn and neglected. I'm certain it wasn't meant for you and your camers.

I guess you were hunting for a red sign and then you were shooting---but---we won't tell.
Neat shot. MB
The sign doesn't say "No photographing or blogging" so I'd say you're safe! Go for it!
And you haven't gone past the fence, so you are still on government land, so I don't think it applies to you at all!

Lovely winter shot, EG!
Did you throw a snowball at that sign?
I am sure the sign means hunters with guns, not cameras! it definitely stands out to be noticed!
Nice sign against the snow.
Craver expressed exactly the same thought I was thinking. LOL

I think someone threw a snowball at that sign in aggression. Then they stomped all over the place.
Well, it didn't say,"No Picture Taking" :D
Nice take on RT!

You are most welcome to take such a picture. I would guess that your kind of shot is not at all like hunting for game - rubies are quite enough!
As long as you can read the sign, you're on the correct side of the line. Great photo.

Hugs and blessings,
You have a great "ruby eye" to spot this!! Happy New Year!
Heck no! :)
What a great Ruby Tuesday find. I don't see any way that sign could apply to you and your family.
Of course it doesn't me you--or me either for that matter! (Even though I understand--don't you get tired of seeing those signs???)
Of course not. Cameras are welcome almost everywhere...Great choice for RT.

Beautiful Ruby Tuesday picture, EG.... I'm sure they wouldn't mind you being there.. Don't think I'd want to hunt in that area anyhow!!!! ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Loved MB's comment!

Happy New Year!

i hope there was nobody around with a shotgun.:p
That sign said nothing about a little lens sneaking over the line a bit, great ruby... happy 2010.
You always find the best photo subjects :-) Have a wonderful day and a Happy New Year to you.
As long as there's no 'photography' you're safe! lol
One more good snowstorm and I'm thinking that sign is going to fall over.
Nice find. The photo looks so clear and cold with just the right spark of red.
camera shots are the only good shots
I love seeing no hunting signs
No, of course not!
You can hunt for ruby red anywhere. ;~)
We all can, right?
