Great weather vane. Great winter picture. The rooster seems to be in excellent shape too, even after all the "weather" we have had this winter. From Felisol
The rooster stands out proudly, his red comb perfect for RT. The red chimney is also ruby, and much larger. It is nice to have a weathervane with a stylish chicken on top to help us determine which way the wind blows. Nice capture!
I've always loved rooster weather vanes, rooster plaques, rooster trays, rooster book covers but never actually owned any. This photo makes me remember why I was drawn to them but doesn't help me understand how I could hanker after them without acquiring them. I worked it off by giving roostery things to my mother.
Do people ever shovel the snow off their roofs? I like your bubbling water above. Happy RT! Thank you for peeking in on my dog's mess. :-) .. Oh yes, we have some snow here tonight, just north of Houston, Texas. ..
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Love it, EG. the snow on the roof, the red chimney (?) and the red comb on the rooster is just the right touch. MB
It would make me dizzy twirling around. We have had plenty of wind lately too.
Happy RT EG.

Does he go "Cock-a-doodle-do" when the wind hits him in the face? Great shot, EG!
Oh that's a beautiful one, with colour and all!
I like the way you have zoomed on this weather vane.

He's great. I love that he has so much detail!
A unique little silver rooster atop his red domain!
He looks quite puffed up and proud - reminds me of Foghorn Leghorn a bit :).
Love the little hint of red on the top of the roosters head (if I wasn't a city girl I would probably know what that red thing was called).
Great picture!! Very unique!

Brrr... shiny rooster doesn't get cold, does he? He's just dancing round and round up there.

This red is so cool! And, so bold against the white snow! Great shot!

You want to climb up there and get that for me? I collect roosters and would really like it.
How neat to photograph it in winter when the contrasting colors are so bright.
Love that rooster monitors wind direction. Great photo!
I really like this beautiful picture, although I feel sorry for the rooster that has to work day and night!
Wonderful shoT! Excellent RT!
