Along The Shore Road/ SOOC

Looking north to Snake Island

Last Monday, the last in April.  Now that the trees are beginning to leaf out, can we call it mid spring?

Note: To answer Kathy's question, the island is named for Joseph Snake, a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation.

Is Snake Island appropriately named?

Cool shot; but I think I'd call it pre-spring! :-)

I like the view of the Island through the just barely leafed out tree.
Rule of thumb is to plant after the last chance of frost which is May 10th or there abouts. So yes while we have a a lot of cool weather plants blooming and even early the trees are just leafing out too. I call it Spring.
raining and high 40s low 50s here. Snow in the mts. MB

Great shot, I love to see photos from other parts of Canada. Islands always seem so mysterious.

Your trees are quite a ways behind ours, aren't they. I like the view captured here...

Beautiful view! I love seeing what I call "baby green" starting to show when the trees start to leaf out.
