Am I Lost?/ Camera Critters

Is this the Serengeti?

Nope. This is a farm in East Gwillimbury, Ontario.

Ostrich hen showing my camera her better side

Not shy at all this, female ostrich saw our car stop and slowly walked from the back of the field for this photo opportunity,

They are so bizarre looking. An awfully small brain in that head relative to the body.

How nice of the ostrich to pose for you. She must be a model.

What a sport to pose for you like that.

Whew, I thought I was somewhere else---so glad you explained for me.

I forgot theme day too. MB

Female ostriches like to have their photos taken as do female emus.

Nah, I just made that up.

And there's no "shame" in forgetting theme day. A real "shame" would be losing your camera. As long as you haven't done that, you're good to go!

Hey , we have/had some of these just down the road and one of the boys in my class brought in an ostrich egg shell - amazing!
No wonder they're disorientated ;-)

They are a strange looking creature...they are almost the kind of animal classified as so ugly they are cute.

That looks exactly like an emu. I thought you were an Australian blogger for a second and got all confused. Is that what ostriches look like, exactly like an emu?

What a lovely pose, she must be in the mood. I saw a giant ostrich in our wildlife park here before.
