Female ostriches like to have their photos taken as do female emus.
Nah, I just made that up.
And there's no "shame" in forgetting theme day. A real "shame" would be losing your camera. As long as you haven't done that, you're good to go!

They are a strange looking creature...they are almost the kind of animal classified as so ugly they are cute.
That looks exactly like an emu. I thought you were an Australian blogger for a second and got all confused. Is that what ostriches look like, exactly like an emu?
