Baby gulls and their parents, harbour at Hamilton, Ontario
What a racket! And the closer I got the noisier they became. Even the young ones joined the fracas.
My husband and I happened upon these guys and gals as we traveled north on the Queen Elizabeth Way (aka QEW), the major road from Niagara Falls to Toronto. The food must be abundant here under the bridge (which you can't see) that spans the entrance to the Lake Ontario harbour between Hamilton and Burlington.
Just a hint of how many gulls were screeching and screaming
Apparently, gulls believe in rearing their young in HUGE communities.

OMG Look at all those gulls. Noisy for sure.
The mosaic with the little fuzzy ones is cute. MB
So that is where they are all hiding!
It seems strange, but I have never seen such a young gull. I'll have to look out for them this afternoon, I may just wander down that way.
What delightful shots of all those gulls. And I thought of gulls as being East Coast creatures...
That's is quite a crowd. I love the shots of the babies. The are so adorable.
What a great post for the day! Love the mosaic of the little ones! They are so precious! And that is a large crowd!! Bet they were noisy, too! We see huge gatherings like this down near the harbor. A lot of them "nap" in the parking lot with the hope of visitors bringing treats for them! Hope you have a wonderful week!

That's a lot of birds and gulls can be very noisey, great shots.
There is a California gull rookery on an island in Mono Lake near our cabin but kayakers are not alowed near it during breading season.
Oh, my goodness! What a sight! Loved close-ups of the babes. It's all wonderful!
Gull day care maybe.
This is more than lovely! :)
God bless you!

EG: Neat photos of the little ones. The ones that are at the lake must nest elsewhere so I've never seen them.
Very nice and interesting. Love the collage.
Wow, they are just so cute. I've never seen a baby gull! Awesome photos!
I can just imagine the cacophony of sounds! And I don't think I've ever seen a gull chick. Great photography!
Re your question about the birds - I believe they are Ibises.
I'm not sure I've seen so many gulls in one place before. I can just imagine the racket they made. I really like your mosaic.
I love the baby seagulls.
I could hear them!! Almost similar scene at the Santa Barbara Beach where we visited two weeks ago!
Good Gully!
Wow, that is a LOT of birds. I've never seen anything like that in my life, very impressive.
oh my goodness that's the most gulls i've seen at one time. must be so exciting so stumble upon.
Oh my God! There's so many of them. How did you get near them? Great shot.

Oh what super cute chicks! Great shots of gull family life.
Oh, my! The mess they'd make!
I just wonder how they keep their eggs and baby "chicks" from getting mixed up!!
Wow. I can only imagine the noise and mess that many gulls must make. Cute babies, though.
That's a lot of gulls. This is my first time to see baby gulls. Thank you for sharing
such a cute baby. I recently posted a mother-to-be seagull shot in my blog. This looks like a sequel to my post.
wow, that's the whole troop! the chicks look cute and fragile.
What gorgeous fluffballs those chicks are!
WOW!!!! What camera do you use? Do you dress yourself as a tree or rock? I have not seen such a lot of sea gulls.
Great job. Paki paki meaning clap clap.
How nice! So cute babies:-) Great photos.
Yes -- apparently it takes a very dense village to raise a gull!
Great bird watching at rookeries though.
Wow, the sound must have been loud. Amazing shots of the newly hatched ones.

I bet you could smell them before you could see them!!!
