Papa Swan
Peeking through the cattails, my lens captured Papa, who looks like he was admiring his reflection but was actually about to plunge his head into the water to eat some yummy algae.
Mama Swan and five cygnets
Mama sensed I was behind the cattails so decided to take the rest of the family further down the creek.

Nothing starts the day off like a mouthful of algae.
Swans are so beautiful, it's a pleasure to see them. Those cygnets are cute! Thanks for posting these fine photos, and for coming by for a visit!
Can't thing of anything more graceful than a swan. Those babies are way high on the cuteness scale!
Wonderful family photos! Swans are so lovely to watch and you did a good job of hiding to capture mama and all the cygnets.
Very beautiful swans, the picture with the young ones is superb and very cute!
What a great family. I think I'd enjoy having them for neighbors.

Your pictures are wonderful. I love Swans.
Hugs ♥♥♥
This is so beautiful. Swans are such beautiful animals. Great pictures
Such beautiful (and mean) birds. Love the shot of the babies following their mama.
Mamas always have eyes in the backs of their heads!
great captures, EG
Aw...the algae I can skip, but those little swaneees...now I'm going to be singing "Way Down Upon the Swanee River" all night!
Cygnets. Thanks EG; I learned a new word today. "The Five Cygnets..." It sounds like the name of a band. They are not "ugly ducklings," but really quite adorable.
Oh man... those babies are cute!! All we get around here are Canada Geese. Bring us some swans!
LOVE, love these shots ... Dad and his reflection (even if he is looking for breakfast) and Mom and the little ones ... I LOVE Mom Nature! :D :D
I would love to have been with you watching this family...I have never seen cygnets, and only the adults from a distance or flying overhead.
What a cute photo, love the swan family. Wonderful photo!
I haven't seen any swans to photograph! Thanks for showing us yours!
I was admiring the great reflection in the first shot and then got to the second one and my heart melted. LOL! What cute little babies!!
The reflections of the swan in the first shot is so beautiful as is the swan. I absolutely love how you captured the parent and baby swans in the second shot.
Swans are always great subjects.

lovely shot!
Mine's up! Happy WW.
Both shots are pretty! As if the Papa was saying "mirror-mirror"... You captured a great reflection!
Although Mama is graceful, Papa is also as graceful!
They are so cute and the reflections are fantastic
Those Swans are so regal. I have some in my post a few days ago too.

Wonderful pictures, they are just perfect. Take care.
Both pictures are wonderful, but the first, of Papa Swan, is a work of art.
Papa admiring himself--that made me giggle! delightful photos as always.
How beautiful with the little ones following their mother.

Really beautiful photos of the swans, wonderful reflections. Wonderful photo too of Mama gliding along gracefully with her young family.
Adorable. This is definitely the time of the year for cute fuzzy babies.
Fabulous shots of the family. How cute. Valerie
That top photo is breathtaking...and the bottom photo is a heart melter to be sure.
Meet the Wednesday's Newest King and Queen if you have time...you'll probably laugh a little.
it doesn't get much more beautiful than swans!
Great shots. Look at the wonderful reflection and the anticipation of an algae breakfast. MMMmmmm!!
