Blue flag iris growing on the edge of Canal Lake, Ontario
Wild iris (the Province of Quebec's flower) grows in shallow water and bloom here in early June. Here my camera captured a clump at its peak bloom.

I do love a patch of flowers like these. There are a row of yellow iris growing in a ditch down the road. I do love the purplely blue ones though. Super reflection. MB
Wow! Love the reflection of these iris.
the reflection is beautiful. what a serene photo.
Oh my gosh that's just beautiful! I've seen wild iris before, but never such a large patch of them. No wonder it's the Province's flower! Your photos are stunning -- I went to your other blog as well.
They add to the already superior beauty of the lake. I love iris. I wish they could last longer than they already do.
Those are beautiful, delicate blooms. I like how you got the reflection, too.
These are lovely! And the reflections are an added bonus. :D
Pretty flowers, but the reflections are really impressive!
Re your comment on Stone Creek: Yes, our Ibises do exactly what pigeons and geese do in Canada! They do doo doo.
Found out today that an alligator has been spied on our golf course. The first one! Exciting!
Beautiful and I think it´s rather impressionistic, it could be a Monet!! :)
Wonderful reflection of that flower, nr 2 is my favorite!
Wild iris are so lovely. Your post is awesome with the nice reflections.
You have had very beautiful scenery, which you have captured so well.
Wild Irish is very special here, not common and usually yellow.

It somehow reminded me of Monet's paintings
Yep, Monet was on my mind too.
Love the second shot.
Beautiful captures, well done! They do remind me of Monet.
I love those wild Iris. We have yellow ones here.

Until I have seen your post on the iris, I did not expect them to grow in the water, until I saw them at the Japanese Garden last Sunday. I got a few shots, thanks to you.
Aren't you glad winter is over! Your environment is full of color now. These are just like paintings!

I really like how the iris are reflected in the water. Nice capture.
The first thing that came to mind when viewing these excellent shots was Monet. They look like Monet paintings. The reflection is gorgeous.
