Seen on a walk on June 1, 2010
Well, I actually saw much, much more but my pal Zoe, a friend's mini schnauzer whom I was babysitting, was not impressed with my picture taking. However, Zoe was a very good girl to let me take the photo of the dragonfly, don't you think?
Photos starting with the largest and moving clockwise: dragonfly (female common whitetail), grass loaded with pollen (Aaaaa-choo!), bladder campion in flower, purple vetch vine twisting it's way up and around a young staghorn sumac leaf, fox grapes and fox grape leaves.

Love all your bits of leaves and the collage you arranged. Zoe sounds like my kids - "come on, mom."
Wonderful collage, but the dragonfly is the star!
You always create the prettiest collages. Thanks for identifying everything, too.
Cool collage, EG. I also love the dragonfly. Nice of Zoe to let you take the photo.
I'll learn how to create a collage one of these days!
I'm glad Zoe let you catch that fantastic shot of the dragonfly. I liked the variety in your collage.
That dragonfly photograph is a-mazing. WOW. Zoe must be a good assistant when she puts her mind to it. ;)
I'm glad Zoe allowed you to get these pictures. You've made a very wonderful collage.
Such great macro. I could see the intricate lace-like pattern of the dragonfly.
Pretty collection of images on your collage.
Beautiful collage of pictures. Love the dragonfly!
Hi that is a nice capture of the dragonfly. Btw our oxalis flower probably measures about 2 to 3 centimetres in diameter.
I have only seen one or two dragonflies so far! Great capture of one. BTW, I like the collage!
Pretty nature!
I've seen many dragonflies on my hikes around here but have never been able to get a photo of one up close. This is great! Also love your nature enthusiam. Very Ralph Walso Emerson-ish
Terrific dragon fly shot. I'm never quick enough to capture one.
It is a beautiful dragonfly, great capture. Your mosaic is really pretty.
Stunning EG.
I always liked the way Sumac starts out. A tight fist at the end of the branch and the POP out it comes. MB
I haven't seen any whitetails yet.. Beautiful photo. I love the way you do your collages..Thank you for participating in Nature Notes... Michelle
Beautiful collage. I'm glad to know what the fox grape is. We have that here, but I didn't know the name for it.
I love walks that have so much to nature to look at...and photograph. This is a wonderful set of pictures.
I just saw one today.....Michelle
