Seen from Woodbine Avenue, East Gwillimbury, Ontario
It was an overcast evening and I did NOT expect to see a sunset at all as we drove home from Newmarket. But for a few moments the setting sun slipped beneath some clouds and red, orange and yellow light sneaked through where the clouds were thin.

Oh, that is sooo cool. I love it when the sun slices through the clouds...and you get the best reddish glow!
Excellent EG. I like it when one can catch the sun as a fireball slip-sliding through the overcast. MB
This is such a wonderful shot. I am so glad you had your camera along with you!
And this is so beautiful. The surroundings looks very quite and peaceful, just an awesome scenery. ^_^

Lovely sky and a welcome surprise. I like how you included the marker on the right. That turns it from just another sunset into a nice photo.

Nice! I need to carry my camera with me more regularly. I saw a sunset today mixed with a storm and it had the washes running (which as you noted, dried up within 30 minutes), but I missed it all!
This round top slab stands up like a sore thumb.
In Canada, and USA, you drive every where, there is no need to fly. But you are welcomed to fly to New Zealand, if you are feeling it is too hot.
You've done it again. You were in the right place, at the right time, with your camera and your artist's eye. Thank you.
well it sure is a good thing you had your camera handy...i'd hate to miss a beauty like this!
Lovely skywatch... Original, with these strange piece of architecture coming from nowhere...

Beautiful layering of light beneath the more sombre clouds! And somehow that structure on the right sets a rather eerie atmosphere! It almost looks like a tall tombstone!
Wonderful. The fiery colors are great.
Beautiful gradient of colours! Very nice cloud formations too!
Have a good weekend.
