I love turkey vultures! We have them all over the place here- I did a post about them a couple of weeks ago and referred to them as "Majestic Janitors". They clean up for us...
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

Great detail. I think buzzards are very fascinating.
Good shot. We have these and black vultures locally. They can really spook you taking off in front of the car because the are so large. Very nice.
Darryl and Ruth : )
Great photo, well done.
For some reason the picture is gone---for now. I will say I bet it is wonderful. I will return when it flies back into view. LOL MB
I see why they call it a turkey VULTURE! It would be kinda scary to meet up with. Great catch!
That's humongous, great shot!
An awesome photo of a darn ugly beast. ;-)
Nice pic!
A face to love - NOT! :)
They are big birds and soaring in the sky quite beautiful.
This guy is perfect on the dead tree - nice shot.
He does not look too unfriendly. :)
I wish I was on one of those boats...
Not such a handsome devil is he!
Wow! That seems close.
Wonderful shot... it's scary the way it seems to be staring at us.
Cor! Never seen anything like it! (cue for a song!) That is what blogging is all about I guess - new day, new dawn, new experiences!
