Windermere House, Windermere, Ontario
My World? Not really. But I did drive by it and take photos of it!
Windermere House is a prestigious Four Diamond (TOLD you it isn't my world!) resort on Lake Rosseau. This is actually a rebuilt version of the 1870 Victorian structure as the original was destroyed by fire in 1996 during the filming of the movie "The Long Kiss Goodnight."

This is more like My World: she's taking photos of Windermere House's front garden and he's looking at his watch.

The house is fantastic but the second photo is priceless.

That must have been an awfully hot kiss.
I love the building but the second photo is such a classic.
I think we live in the same world.
LOL, EG!
Gorgeous building, but I'm with the others, the second photo is indeed priceless! I love it! Have a great day!

LOL at B SQUARED - and at the photo of the strangers!
[EG, we use olive and canola oils too. Also peanut oil for some Chinese dishes, yum! Frankly, I'm still fine with canola, but reeeeeally wish I could more clearly see on the bottle which are made with canola grown from Monsanto GM seeds and which not. And you are so right, the food issues start piling up and eating loses its fun! My approach is the middle way: eat as nutritiously with fresh foods as possible without obsessing.]
Awesome house! It's fun to pose in front just to take photo. Love it!
I like the guy looking at his watch..been there..seen that...
Ah, well. Nice to photograph it, even if one can't live it.
We once visited the Mount Washington Hotel while on a camping trip... we really felt the poor folks borrowing the fancy bathrooms for a bit.
It would be fun to stay there at least once.
Well, the Windmere House wouldn't be my world, either...but maybe in my dreams! It looks absolutely lovely and I wouldn't mind walking around the grounds and enjoying the sights.
I think the second photo is more accurate than a lot of us would like to admit! LOL!
Very impressive - too bad the original was destroyed.
Funny second photo - your world.
Nice post!
that second photo is classic. fantastic find.

The long kiss lit the building on fire. :) The second photo looks like me & hubby- "Hon, it's time to go." " Just a sec, one more photo. I don't have this angle yet." LOL
Old Thyme Inn
Looks to be a wonderful place to stay, providing there's no fire. B Squared said it right.
The second photo shows the gentleman timing her shots so she can do a panorama. Didn't you know that? ;-))
What a pretty house ! the couple is too funny, real tourists !
I was going to say that it would be a great movie location and then I read that it burned down while filming a movie. Looks very charming and definitely beyond my means.
Ha ha ha, one has to have an eye to capture those moments like that 'your world' couple.
Not my world either, but thanks for giving us just a peak into what the other one looks like. Lovely old house.
Beautiful photo of the house, the that second photo is some real life in action!
Nice world you live in. We're flying to Canada on Sunday, can't wait.
I love the 1st picture. It´s a lovely house!
I checked out the prices. You won't find that kind of pocket change in the sofa cushions at the Craver household; that's for sure.
EG: That is a really neat place, I saw a lot of rebuilt structures in Europe that look old.
what a beautiful house and love the second picture too.
I love big old mansions.
When we tour them I pretend it is my house. Like I think I'll move that chair closer to the fireplace or we must repaint that bedroom. LOL! I wouldn't do a thing to those pretty red and white awnings.
LOL! A hotel like that won't be part of my world either!
I can relate to that second shot too. :)
Love it EG. I'll be right up, and take a room at the Windermere Cottage for a week. LOL
Happy RT.
B.
What a great building to photograph. I love the striped awnings and the red roof. The last shot does say it all....LOL.
Beautiful structure. The color combinations are wonderful.
Wow--someone involved in that filmaking got into some big trouble! The resort looks gorgeous--they did a great job of restoring it.
Wow, wow, wow!
hahahah I love "your world"--similar to mine. my friends and family get impatient when i take photos of everything and they're ready to go.:p
the hotel is charming, love the striped canopy.
It's marvellous.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
WOW! That is a fabulous looking place!
I love those red&white window covers :D
What a stunning old building. It reminds me of the Hotel Del in Coronado.
What a beautiful building and your second photo is lovely.
Hahahahaha! Love the photo! That's fairly typical of us, here, too!
The 'house' is gorgeous!
I'm laughing at B Squared, too! Going to check him out!
Your second picture really made me laugh. Typical man I would say! I would mind staying in that hotel for a while. First have to win the lottery. But I am working on that ;-)
Jossie
The second photo is why I like to take my photo jaunts by myself!!
That is a gorgeous building, but the second picture is a classic!
A very impressive building, I like the humour of the second photo.
What a beautiful place...even if I was wealthy, I don't think I would give that kind of money to stay at a place. I would just feel guilty at what could be done with it.
That's a funny couple! Great shots.
Word to all of us guys... when you are with your love there is no need to know the time because that is where you want to be, no?
