Christmas LIGHTS, Port Perry, Ontario
Now when Ontario has so little warmth and daylight, Christmas lights are a cheery way to end each day. Many people here will continue to turn on their lights throughout most of January.

Btw Your quick Alphabe-Thursday link
I agree. Gotta put up with these temps... ENJOY the lights.
I'm impressed. Those were very difficult shots to get as the light is minimal. Great job.
Now, re your comment on Stone Creek: What? You didn't get much sleep last night? That photo is perfectly clear and sharp as a tack. Maybe it's your eyes? ;-))
Lovely Christmas lights.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I especially love the quaint feel of Port Perry's festive display.
Those lights certainly are a bright spot in the landscape. I need to learn how to take good night shots such as this one.
Light here in South Carolina come down right after Christmas. I wish they stayed up longer.
I love looking at all the christmas lights . We are scheduled to go to the Zoo lights again this year.
That really is a nice way to end the day.
Christmas lights are wonderful. You capture the spirit!
Both are lovely Christmas-y scenes, EG. I am going to pretend that the weather is comfortable up there and that we are strolling around.
I saw your comment on Birdman's blog today, recalling your flights in and out of Beverly airport. I grew up in Danvers and my mother lived for a while within a stone's throw of Beverly airport. Small world, isn't it?
Such a warm glow! Such a cold night!!
Lights make a lovely L post, and these xmas lights are very elegant. All I can offer is laundry... :-D
Oh I love those lights in Port Perry. So pretty.
Lights, camera, action!! Very beautiful. MB
I do need to make a trip to Ontario sometime during the winter. I've only been there in the summer, and it looks like I am really missing out!
i like that a lot of people keep their lights. It makes good sense, and it seems meaningful on a deeper level, too.
=)
You're so right. The early darkness can seem gloomy, especially with the cold. But the same places liven up a lot when lights are added!
You've got some beautiful (and warm) Christmas lights up there in Ontario.
I love the glow of holiday lights against the snow. It is so festive and welcoming.
And so was this link to Alphabe-Thursday this week.
It made me feel like bundling up and driving through the neighborhood to ooh and awww over the twinkling lights.
Thank you for linking.
A+
Looks like such a charming place!
