winter/summer it's always beautiful. I hope you'll join in the bi-monthly discussions of War and Peace. There is supposed to be on this month sometime. You should post some pictures that tell a little bit about the work you do in your community. It would be very interesting.
I never saw something like that... Icing around the port and just a little further the water so blue... Thanks for sharing this, it's a joy to my eyes! God bless you! Cezar
What a lively photo for a winter harbour! It is very beautiful. Is the sea always ice-free? Once it was freezing so hard that the rivers were all frozen over and the ferry couldn't cross the river where I live. This will only happen once in a life time.
This looks almost like one of those puzzles...can't think who does them. They are sort of folk artsy...do you know the ones I mean? It is a great capture.
Lovely shot! I haven't been brave enough to approach the lakeshore this winter - you certainly have! I meant to comment yesterday on how beautiful your swan shots were - thanks for all the info about the swans - I had no idea there were 2 such distinct types.
The bright colors in the snow make the snow "friendlier" and not so cold looking:) Your comment about the harbor iced in, but the lake nor, is interesting info!
East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city.
My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

What a lovely shot! I'll bet the wind wakes you up when it first hits you.

A chilly view, but really a spectacular one!
What a wonderful view! This is really picture perfect -- it would make a great post card or photo for framing.
Nice shot. Add one more name to the list of very chilly places this winter.
Has anyone been brave enough to do a "polar bear swim" out in those waters?!
So many layers of blue! Fantastic!
Beautiful shot! Love the blue water in the icy, snowy winter!
sleepy cute little (cold!) town! Nice photo!

Cool colors over the port view of Olcott Harbor.
I have been searching for your RT, but couldn't find it.
Freezing looking but beautifully blue.
Nice with the ice free water!
wow! That's a very beautiful scene...snow with brilliant blue...so nice!
You still have liquid water! But then, this is one of the Great Lakes, so it takes a lot to freeze them solid!
I suppose that because I'm so used to seeing the beaches of California, it is so odd to be to see a shore lined with ice and snow. Beautiful though.
A wonderful snowscape ending in rippling water!

It sure looks cold. Great view.

It's a beautiful wintershot with lovly colours and details!
Such a great photo, but it makes me cold!
Wonderful scene. Even though it's closed for winter, it still somehow looks very inviting to me!
The harbor looks beautiful even on a dreary day. The blue fence adds a nice touch of color.
Not the direction of the Statue of Liberty?
The water is so blue as hough he waves are coming in.
brrrr... what a lovely scene... but I can't imagine how people here lived... such a cold place..
thanks for the dropping by my blog.
Wow! Lovely shot.
I see some movement, waters lapping, brrr, it must be cold!
The very cold water in the distance is a lovely shade of blue. Beautiful but frigid!
Cold looking, but very picturesque beautifully! Thank you for sharing this.
the snow is beautiful. looks like a busy community even in winter.
Ice on land and blue waters....very beautiful!
to see snow and sea in the same picture is quite unusual for me! I love it!
Seems so cold, but the photo is wonderful.
Brrrrr. That shot just feels cold.
This is an exceptional picture. Oh so cold!! and interesting too. MB

Happy Watery Wednesday and keep warm****
This is a nice one. The snow covered tree really adds to the whole scene.
That looks so cold!! Happy Wednesday!
Watery Wednesday
Your photo has captured the two things I love most -- snow and water.
Another interesting view of a life I know little about. Now I see why people take their boats out of the water for the winter.
