Have tree, will climb
One's in the tree already so of course the other has to climb it too. And why not? They might be able to see something far out in the lake (Lake Huron).
I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.

Great photo. The lines of that leaning fence really anchor the composition.

Not much ice in that lake! Is it Lake Simcoe?
A tree is made for climbing---isn't it? Nice shot. MB
I remember my boys couldn't walk by a tree without wanting to climb it, and now my grandsons do the same.
Ah, yes, to kids trees are there to climb. :)
Looks like fun!
Haha, that's what I do. The higher, the better:) LOL.
That red cap will make him easy to spot across the snow.
HA! This so reminds me of when I was a kid. Everything looks better looking down ;) Thanks for your question on my blog. Yes, Mt Hood does keep snow year round. Not to the extent you can see now, but the glaciers make it the only mtn in North American that offers year round snow sports!
What a beautiful shot...so many contrasts...texture...tones...and I love the shadows.
fantastic shot
the shadows are wonderful
and the red hat pops
the entire scene is fabulous
Nice shadow effects, lots of patterns and textures. Looks brrr cold.
one of the regrets of life - not climbing trees when i was young. i was too prim and proper then.
I love everything about this picture, especially how fun it is.
Great shot! Looks like a perfect tree to climb and then sit up and watch the world from your perch.
On my way to the comment form I was forming the exact same comment that RedPat already wrote: It looks like a perfect tree to climb! I can see why they all want to get up there :-)
That looks like a tree that was made to climb on. I'll bet a lot of kids have made their way up there.
Great shot, enjoy your Wednesday
What a lovely photo! The colours and the composition are perfect!!!
Cute shot.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Even a cold day at the beach can be fun! A great shot.
They look like they are having a grand time. Great shot and I really like all the shadows on the snow.
Wonderful picture! And the tree looks fine to climb for children in that age.. :) Or- maybe we should start climbing trees, too..?! ;D I used to do that when I was a young girl.. :)
So sweet! Good pic of children's ways. A great old tree and icy blue water too!
You should see my students, they climb up a almost ninety degrees branch. They line up sitting on them.
Last week, I saw the boys jumping up from about 8 feet high. No wonder you see them in clutches.
This wonderful shot just warms my heart and puts a smelt on my face. It definitely puts a grin on my face as it brings to the surface my inner child. Love the red hat as they are my favorites, and the leaning sand fence is so pretty. Love this shot. Is has happiness written all over it.
The kids sure had great time climbing up on that tree, good thing mommy and daddy was there to watch them because it looks scary for little man up on that tree
My Watery Wednesday
Trees are made for climbing. I would be standing in line, if I were there.
I like the shot- it has human interest yet does not overshadow the beauty of the simmering water.
Rosie@travel-i-tales
Love the shadows, the sunlight on the water - nicely captured!
Children are worldwide the same, always on trees, just like cats, lol !
We climb because there is a tree? It must be fun to climb a tree by the lakeside.
The temperature of the photo is a bit cold but is warmed up by sunlight, red of a cap and a glove as well as the feeling of excitement.
Uh-oh, two very energetic kids!
I did that so many times...
Well, at least if they fall, they're all bundled up and they'll probably fall in the snow so they shouldn't get hurt too badly. What's to see out in the lake - aha! A Canadian sea monster, I'll bet!
Cute shot!
Re your question on Stone Creek: Our little golf carts can go a bit over 20 miles an hour (electric ones) if you have a 48 volt system. Mine is only a 36 volt system so it doesn't go very fast at all. But we don't have any big hills so it's OK.
Gas golf carts can go faster...probably over 30 mph. There are many gas carts in The Villages; not so many in Stone Creek.
Oh, your other question: No, Tim did not take me out for a drive...he had been out all day taking photos of a ladies golf tournament and was on his way home! He volunteers for that! Can you imagine?
nice. its play time
Oh that is a pretty shot..Happy WW!
Mine is here
Nice shot! Lovely scenery!
This is an awesome shot!
Watery Wednesday
This is a really good photo... The tree is awesome in itself, the fence fascinating, the people bring action, and then the spots of red adding colour... Really like it!!!
Looks like the perfect tree to climb.
