Colourful Laundry/Weekend Reflections

Reflection in swollen creek

The creeks are high but not overflowing, at least when I took this photo, and there was no threat of rain.

We should all hang our clothes on the line more often!

Our creeks and streams are flowing pretty good here. I love the clothes hanging on the line. I need to get some lines up this year.

The colors really attract the eyes in the middle of that grey landscape. !

I really like this shot...like the barn and like that creek. And clothes on the line is always a favorite with me.

I notice her clothesline post is leaning, too! Mine definitely need to be redone...am afraid I will go out there some windy day and find my sheets on the ground.

Looks like if they got a good wind, the clothes would get an extra rinse cycle! :)

It's nice to see laundry on a line. Where I live you don't see that.

This is a wonderful picture. You were in a perfect position to capture the reflection of the laundry in the creek.

What a wonderful picture and wonderful place!! Oh, I would like to stay there for a while, some days, some weeks.. Fascinating to see the colors of the clothes, such a good contrast of the surroundings! :)

In a rather monochrome winter world the laundry does brighten things up.

Hmmm... while drying laundry in plain view is a very familiar sight to me in Asia, I don't often see it in "developed" countries. This riverside laundry makes for a nice reflection shot.

Great shot, are the creeks swollen due to melting snow?

and the old weathered barn is wonderful

You could have picked up this image and put it right here in Rockbridge County. It all looks so familiar. Many of our rural people still hang out their clothes to dry. We only do it in the summer. The refection of the colors of the material in the water is superb. and makes for a fabulous shot.

Great catch!

Love that pic, because one hardly sees it anymore in my area. So different in other countries, where this is a common sight:) A great capture!

Your photo has a monochrome effect with the punch of color in the clothes hanging out to dry... Very nice slice of rural life. I hope that the water comes no higher!
