Lake Huron/ Scenic Sunday

Lake Huron at Goderich, Ontario

The snow fence keeps much of the snow from blowing around creating white outs. I love the way the grass has not been beaten down by the snow.

So it works just like sand dune barriers here. Cool pic

I was surprised at how blue the water is but not that the grasses are still out there being hardy.

Nice pitures - I thought it was sand to start with. Like the idea that the picture can be a kind of trick - makes you look twice.

An excellent composition...could easily be a painting. But it doth look too cold for me! I wonder what is the temp of the water?

Looks so cold! I love lake/oceans...but with these much snow, I think I rather just stay at home!

Year, it does look cold but the water is not frozen. I like the composition of this image.

One thing I do miss living here in SW Wisconsin is seeing Lake Michigan in all the seasons. There's just something about all the Great Lakes.

Beautiful image... the snow can fool the eye here and look like sand...after the tough winter we had here, I think I'll let my mind go with the view of sand and pretend this is a warm summery scene...LOL

Thanks!

Haven't seen snowfences since my youth in Wisconsin. Brought back memories of drifts and snow dunes!

I'm a sucker for oat grass, and I love the snow and the grass together.

When I was a kids I lived in Michigan for a while. We would visit Lake Michigan in the winter and it would be FROZEN....at least near the shore. When I tell people in California that they NEVER believe me! Lake Tahoe doesn't feeze, so therefore no lake must freeze???

GREAT shot, brought back great memories!

This is a beautiful shot. The snow fence and the grass complement each other very nicely.

It's nice to see the grass looking perky. It must be hopeful that spring sun will be coming soon.
Nice photo of the snow fence.

I did think it was beautiful pale sand at first!

Gorgeous: like others, I love the way the snow looks like sand. And how the strip of luscious blue water peeks through.
