Bent plastic-covered wire (sounds more exotic than paper clip, eh?)

Yes, very colorful. And, I can't help but think of the history of how paperclips played a part in the Norwegian Resistance Movement during WWII.

As always,a great design in your pic (even if these paperclips wouldn't have been so colorful)!

Hmmm. I'm wondering: Did you dump them out and let them fall where they may or did you ever so gingerly arrange them in position?

I hope Lois will tell us about the paperclip and its Norwegian resistance connection. I'm intrigued!

We used to collect chicken rings as a children. These remind me of that. I can see kids stringing these for a necklace.

Excellent detail on that first paperclip shot.

I have squit bottles to put my glue in, the lid's gone, I use the plastic cover clips to seal the top. The plastic means it won't rust.

I must bring my camera ti work to take a photo for you.

I believe the technical term is triple reverse curl wire attachment gizmos. Very colorful.

A paperclip is called a trombone in French. That definitely makes it seem more than what it is. ;-)

I like this macro. The colors are nice too!

But not just ordinary paper clips! Those ones are exotic!

I can remember when paper clips where just one simple bland colour. Thanks to new ideas this has all changed. Also thanks to to your photography skills you have enhanced them even more.

Your shots are so bright and cheery...the problem is I want some of them for my room at school. They are so cool. Bet they would get the attention of the kids. I like the simplicity of the macro shots. You need nothing else but the metal clips. They are perfect.

Well-done. For some reason these "clips" remind me I need to get a haircut.

I think I'd have to say that you're a "matron of macros." Which is rather like a patron of the arts. But patron is patristic and that won't work for you, so "matron" it is.

And I don't mean that in a matronly way.

Do you have a macro lens/setting? The detail on the first shot is amazing.
