You know I do love art on brick. This is superb, although I'm embarrassed to say I had never heard of the Guiders. Shame on me for being so ignorant!
Glad to hear about the anti-bullying interests of the Girl Guides as it is a major concern, especially in modern times with the online chat rooms. Opportunities to hurt people anonymously abound. The red clover on the wall is reminiscent of the red maple leaf that would be on our future flag.

I love public murals, I think they give insight into the history and values of a community.
Hurray for the Girl Guides and the Girl Scouts! I was a Brownie and then Girl Scout from age 7 through12. I loved it so much, especially the 2-week summer Girl Scout camp I went to for three summers...1957, '58 &'59. I still remember some of the songs we sang around the campfire. Thanks for the memories.

For youth nowadays it's the best, most thorough and safe way to learn to live and love the nature and wild life, plus doing good deeds.
If I ever get grandchildren, I'll send them to guide training too!

I love the vivid clues in these murals....though I don't think I have ever seen a mural I didn't like. These are somehow a bit better than a lot of murals.

An Unfittie's Guide to Adventurous Travel
This is a fantastic mural art. In Japan, girl scouting was introduced by a British missionary, banned during WWII, and reorganized after the war. Bullying as serious social problem doesn’t seem to be only in Japan. Girls should acquire wisdom to be healthy member of the society through their activities. Thank you for sharing.
Great theme of murals.
The women and the girls did so much for the soldiers in WWI and WWII. My mother was one of the ladies so active in the Red Cross volunteers and her circle at the Episcopal made bandages and knitted socks and caps for the men in WWII. These murals are beautiful. I would love to have a copy of one of them to put on the wall in my “cellblock” at school. It would bi something I could talk to the children about when they are sent to me for being mean and misbehaving. I need to do some research on the internet to see if any are available. This is one of those post that pulls at my heartstrings.
