- East Gwillimbury is a rural town less than an hour north of Toronto, Canada's largest city. My family calls me CameraGirl because I take my camera with me wherever I go.

I like it, it looks so graphic.
What a fascinating photo. Lots of work went into putting all those poles and wires in place.
An electrifying sunset!!!
A lovely sunset, even with all the lines in front.. :))
And such cute dogs below and the picture of Lucy is gorgeous! :)
I know another Canadian who calls these hydro poles. That is so interesting. You know, those lines will carry electricity made from anything . . . coal, nuclear, gas OR hydro. Language differences are fascinating.
Jack,
The company that supplies most of the electricity to Ontarians is named Hydro One...and used to be called Ontario Hydro. :)
Very nice shot...love the lighting!
Come on, EG....You can walk that bridge if I can. It is OK when you are on it alone. When I stopped the other morning in all of that fog, I just had to walk out...and that was when I saw the replacement boards. Trust me, someone did that out of pocket. I know darn well the state or county did not pay for it. Actually it is a pretty secure one. I wouldn’t fool you :-) I really like your shot of the hydro poles. They are really impressive...so big. Any pictures with lots of the linear in them are ones I really like.
Nature vs. civilization. Geometry vs. the simplicity of sky. There's a lot to think about in this photo. Love the sunset colors, too.
I don't like these in my shot but you really made this a very nice photo.
What a great sunset shot!
Teresa
Great sunset and love the poles and wires silhouetted against the coloured sky...
I really like the starkness of the poles with that beautiful sunset in the background.
beautiful and atmospheric shot!
thanks so much for sharing.
I like all those intersecting lines.
only God's photo shop of the sun could make Hydro poles beautiful, Him and you with your camera. this is really beautiful and inspiring.
Even hydro poles look beautiful in a picture like this one. Nice shot!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm visiting from my other blog now.
This is something you will not find in my country as all the cables have gone underground!!
Wow! Quite dramatic. You wouldn't think it would be much of a shot. But Wow!
Oh I love this great shot. B
A beautiful sky is not lost, even amongst the industry of today.
This is a great shot. This would make a great print/gift for someone that worked for the Power company especially for Father's Day.
I just love industrial type stuff, especially paired with a nice sky.
What a great and interesting photo.
I quite like taking pictures of these, but I hate it when they get in the way of a scene of something else!
