South-central Ontario this week
Like most of eastern North America, the weather here has been sizzling hot. I hope the colours in this mosaic convey that message.
In the largest square you can see this bee is delighted with the pollen it found on this wild mustard (Sinapsis arvensis). Moving clockwise: a cultivated daylily (Hemerocallis) in my garden, ant on bull thistle (Cirsium vulgare), red honeysucle berries (Loncera ssp), butternuts (Juglans cineria) and wild perennial sweet peas (Lathyrus latifolius).

I so enjoy your Nature Notes montages. Today's is no exception. Stay cool and drink lots of lemonade, EG! Here we have a tropical storm in its third day and it makes our house move slightly inconvenient.

The ant on the thistle is my favorite of this set. There is something about a blooming thistle that makes me happy.

bee shot is super, i like the ant on the flower too. we have ants on all our flowers right now, more than we normally do, lots of them, small and large. some of them i don't see until i upload my flower pics. nice collage.

This mosaic is really beautiful! It's been so hot here, I can't even stand to be outside for more than a few minutes.
