Beaverton/ Watery Wednesday

Beaverton, Ontario on Lake Simcoe

When I was a child I lived on the coast and thought the Atlantic Ocean was the most beautiful body of water ever. NOW I have to say that - although that  ocean is certainly lovely - so are the Great Lakes and the "lesser lake" (I made that up) Lake Simcoe, which is especially gorgeous when the sun rises and sets over it.

I am linking to Watery Wednesday where you can find many more watery photos.

I was born in a small town on Lake Michigan, and how I love it! Even tho I no longer live there, I appreciate your comment about the Great Lakes. Wonderful bodies of water, and your Lake Simcoe is equally beautiful in your sunlist photo.

Lake Simcoe is rapidly becoming one of my very favorite lakes.

But you need to explain to this dunderhead why you're posting a "Watery Wednesday" shot on Tuesday?

I'm not complaining; I thought today was Friday for awhile! But I'm old and have an excuse!

It sure is a special place. I don't think there is any use in comparisons of beauty. I appreciate the beauty in many different places.

So, while you are flying to NYC, I'll fly to Beaverton! Two beautiful sunsets. But, it is really cheaper just to share our photos!

Love lake and lovely shot. Any body of water is beautiful to me. Sometimes even a puddle.

I did ever answer you question about the edible Thistle AKA a Horse Thistle because horses will eat it. It grows mountain high and is not a pesty invasive type. MB

This is indeed a lovely view. I would be eager to see the Great Lakes from other perspectives beyond Chicago, where I am from. I'll bet there are lots of spectacular views up North.

I think it would be very hard to find any body of water more beautiful than this 'Lesser Lake'.

I love to see water playing with sunlight!

WATER

Water in a drop of rain,
Water swirling down the drain;
Water clinging to the trees,
Water filling up the seas;
Water frozen, water free,
Water is the stuff for me!

I so wish I had been able to access your blog when I lived in Central Ontario---we were starved for beauty back then, although, apparently, it was there.

What a fortunate, golden time to be out with your camera. Magic time in nature. So, you're doing a photo every day of the year? That sounds like a great challenge, but one that would help you grow as a photographer? I might try a "baby steps" copy of this.
