Last Saturday - Is it really January?
No ice so of course the swans were swimming. Wouldn't you? No? Me neither.
Largest square: two trumpeter swans who were very funny because one was a copy-cat swan that turned it's head every time the other one did.
Moving clockwise: a gull's feather resting on a a dried weed, fungi on a log, dried dog-strangling vine (nasty invasive stuff...but pretty), a still-green fern, and ice atop an upright cedar log.

Lovely swans. The weather has been wonderfully warm here too! :)
Beautiful, even tho we're in the south right now I do see back home it's been pretty nice as well, only now I see we're getting some snow.
«Louis» always enjoys the mosaics you post!

The weather here has been unseasonably mild too... fingers crossed it continues. Great shots.
love those swans! too cool!
The swans are so elegant. It has been a weird winter in a lot of places.
I added your link EG...I am too wondering about this warm weather and how it will affect plants and wildlife...pretty swan..thank you for participating in Nature Notes..
That fungi is funny! Looks like a yarmulke. The swans are elegant as usual. And so the warm weather continues...that is really wonderful for you!
You've given us another wonderful collage. It's nice to see nature at this time of the year even if there is no snow or ice.
I love the swans. They make perfect twins!
Beautiful photos and a lovley collage. I love the swans. And the weather we had last weekend was beautiful. I just wish it would continue.
Lovely collage. The colors are so restful.
You would laugh...I am tired...but did not see that was a feather till I read...not sure what I thought it was but sure not a feather...first quick glance thought a fat bug of some kind...but looked again and no...so just went on down and read.
I have been cutting fabric and had to quit because I was messing up...just too tired to think straight.
I love the fern. Such a graceful plant. And yes, even invasives can be pretty, sigh.
stunning collage...wish I could have watched the swans :D
