Reflections of rusty metal, ice and grasses
Yesterday (Saturday) was a mild February day (for central Ontario) and even though the sky was overcast and gloomy, it was a fine day to take my camera on a road trip. Well, my husband and I had a few errands so why not let my camera tag along, right?

it was cold though wasn't it? Mind you I'd rather have that sort of day than a typical winter's day.
Loved the photos,
Gill
We haven't had much frozen water this year, only a sheen of ice formed on the pond near our house, and it was gone in a few days. No ice skating this year. Love that last shot.
A common sight this winter.
Great reflections! The ice shot is so interesting.
The texture of the frozen ice on the bottom photo is finely detailed. Wonderful contrast with the twigs, both is form ad color.
it continues to and always amazes me how normal every day STUFF can make such a beautiful photo.
Poetic photography. Snow here at last!!!!
It was a sunny Saturday in my part of Ontario. The first photos shows wonderful reflections, would be perfect for Weekend Reflections.
It's always a good idea to take a camera along, just so you can photos like these!
We got a lot of ice in our streets and not so beautiful...
I like your ice shots. What patterns!
Like that last shot.
We haven't had much ice at home this year. Our fish pond generally freezes over, but it hasn't done so this year - yet. ;)
Melting ice is very graphic.
Fabulous shots EG! I actually saw some ice today on a small pond in High Park.
Wow! If you accidentally fell into that icy water, you could be impaled upon all manner of things! I hope there was a warning sign somewhere!
Ice is such a beautiful thing in nature. Nice captures.
Beautiful!
Wow! Impressive series. Ice has mesmerizing properties.
It seems like rather thin ice for this time of year in your part of the world.
I love the frozen ice in its patterns and designs.
These are beautiful! We haven't had temps cold enough to have ice or snow here.
Wow, beautiful photos!
Interesting patterns and reflections in that ice. Great shots.
Very stylish shots. I love ice images. They turn themselves into art.
Snow and ice is such a fabulous medium to work with, here in Perth at the moment we have sun, sun and more sun and then hot winds from inland.. Love the icy patterns and reflections EG!
What neat catches! I especially loved the last one with all the designs in the ice. . .
So nicely seen and photographed!

Great reflections in the first one!
What stunning captures. The ice really plays the light.
At least the ice is melting that means it must be getting a bit warmer. Makes for a great picture though :))
These are wonderful! It's cold here too, however no sign yet of melting ice.
Glad you took your camera along. I love reflection shots and that first image-with the rusty bars vs. nature is beautifully captured.

Such interesting and icy shots. It is nice watching the ice melting. All the light is so nice. The second shot makes me think a little bird - his eye between the 2 green leaves - is popping out his head. Wonderful captures. genie
