Last Thursday the sun was bright and the shadows strong when my husband and I visited Fenelon Falls, Ontario.  These shadows are on the wooden landing and stairs to the lookout to view the falls. I was intrigued by the lines created by the shadows of the iron railings.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a mild February day (for central Ontario) and even though the sky was overcast and gloomy, it was a fine day to take my camera on a road trip. Well, my husband and I had a few errands so why not let my camera tag along, right?

I was just playing around with two photos here: one of a shipwreck in Jordan Harbour (converted into pencil sketch) and the other of a gull flying over Cobourg Harbour. I know this is not a masterpiece but I had fun working on it.

It may not look like it in this photo, but Port Perry is actually a charming tourist town. I bet the shop owners on the left side of the photo wish all the tourists would kind of fall into their entrance ways from that curved street.

 Collapsing house north of Shelburne, late September, 2011

This abandoned house can be seen from a major road north of Shelburne, Ontario.  When my husband and I stopped in September to take this photo, another couple also stopped camera in hand. Apparently, they have been taking photos of this place every so many months, watching it decay. I wish I had seen this place sooner so I could have chronicled this house's demise from the beginning.
