Robin's NEST in maple tree
Today, three NESTS - all different.
The first NEST is is still up for grabs, awaiting the return of the American robins.
Osprey sitting on NEST in middle of marsh
The second and third photos were taken last year. Can you see the young'uns to the left of the parent? This is not a clear photo because the osprey nest was way into the marsh and I've cropped it so you can see the man-made stilts and the osprey-built nest.
Cormorant NESTS, condo-style
Now this is one HUGE extended family!

I love the condo-style one. I've only seen an Osprey nest once.
It wont be long before the Robins reclaim the nest. It looks so neat compared to the Cormorant nests.
love that last rookery!
It is interesting to see how the nests are built by different birds.
These are neat nest photos. I think you did a great job with the Osprey nest. The condo is certainly a popular spot.
amazing nests, all of them and i do see the eaglets, i love that last one, have never seen anything like it. WOW on the commorants nest
Cormorants sure seem to be social creatures!
LOL .. so hard to get rid of relatives once they move in!
A nice collection of nests. I love the first pic.
This post made me smile. Nice selection of nests...but the condo cormorants get the prize!
Neat nests! I've only got some squirrel nests in my trees. Maybe some nicer birds will come in the summer. :)
That condo nest is so special. Great shots
love the shots! very cool...
Cool birds and sightings I love the osprey and all the cormorants on the nest. Wonderful photos.
Fantastic nests! The condo style looks amazing.
Amazing variety of nests! Great captures, especially the condo!
Your photo of the massing cormorants is a real winner, EG.
The lofted nest is amazing!
Hi Tina
I like the condo style of the cormorants. We have ospreys nesting on our side of the lake too. However, when the GO train resumed running, the naturalists moved their twiggy platform further away from the rail line and built them a nice sturdy one. They seem to stress easily when people want to watch them.

That is one big family in your last photo!
There were so many Cormorants in that large nest! Wonderful photos!
Great captures, the condo nests are great.
What great nest pictures!

Condo style! There is an osprey who lives around here, but your photo made me think that I haven't seen him around in quite a while.
Looks like urban sprawl in that cormorant nest! Great take on N!

The first one looks sadly empty..
Wow, that last photo is amazing. They must like to be close to one another. Great shots! :)
I loved seeing your nests and can't wait for spring to arrive! Wonderful pics indeed.
What are the condo fees and do they have a concierge? :-)

There's an osprey nest not far from here that I love to watch when it's in use. Amazing to see what can be built on top of an antenna.
