Great Blue Heron
Yesterday, I spotted and photographed my first great blue heron of the year. Actually, it spotted me first and flew from one side of a narrow inlet to the other. He/she watched me carefully until I left.

Blue herons are remarkably available. I see them in places as different as Connecticut and Florida.

Wonderful capture...I sure love seeing these. And I wonder why some are so wild and others will stick around? I suppose it is what they are used to.
