Numbered swan? I'm a little lost here... But anyway I hope it means something good for the gorgeous critter.
God bless you!

There are a pair of swans on the reservoir here too, but too far away to see if they have a number tag.

I wonder what blog by fermentation means? :-)

They are gorgeous...what stately water fowl. Are those tags for following them on their sides? Great close ups. genie

Lovely swan. Possibly a friend to my Mute? (he was found at LasallePark)

Ah, 907! I wondered why it said LOG on its wing. But I can see well enough that it's a beautiful creature.

Rose said...

The ones we see that are banded, have a band around their neck...btw, these are wonderful pictures. I am a bit envious.

I hope we never see the day that corporate sponser's logos appear on our tagged and numbered wildlife like race cars. (;^0)

Paul in Powell River said...

Got me too - I thought it said "LOG", but then it's still early here.

What a shame the tag is quite so obvious, beautiful photos though.

Lovely shots! Swans ares so beautiful.

I've never seen a bird tagged that way. Usually there's a band around their foot. Maybe it's attached to a wing (?) since its feet are always underwater?

Swans are so elegant, but I hear they are very messy and very hostile birds. Like bigger and more hostile Canada geese.

I love swans, but there are none in the area. Sigh. I will just have to look at yours...

#907 is certainly a an elegant animal.
