Blue-eyed grass
This Ontario wildflower is not a true grass in spite of its name. Its leaves - which I have neglected to photograph - just look like grass. The blossom is less than 3/4 of an inch in diameter, so quite small.

Such beauty!
really pretty.
You have captured the beauty of this flower so well. I see them in the ditches around here as well.
This is so very, very pretty! What a great picture.
Though small, it managed to attract you.
The base of that bueaty looks a lot like the iris we have growing in our yard. Pretty capture. :)
It's a little beauty!
You learn something new all the time. Thank you!

A pretty little thing!
Lovely! I have seen a flower called "blue-eyed grass" in Va. too but it was a more pale blue....still looks just like this one. Probably related.
How precious is that?! I love it. Well done.
This member of the Iris family also likes the meadows of California.
Nice shot.

So delicate! In my garden purple flowers get my attention first.
