Wild Turkey
A week ago on a walk down a woodland path, my husband and I came upon a flock of approximately two dozen wild turkeys. They were way more interested in scratching the earth for bugs and worms than they were in me and my camera.

How lucky for you, our wild turkeys are so skittish of people I could never get a shot of them this close.
Great images. I saw one on our golf course last year but it ran away. I guess I shouldn't have yelled "Thanksgiving!"
I used to work with a bunch of turkeys but they were all wearing suits!
amazing shots and i have never seen a wild one. hubby has, he used to hunt in PA when he lived up there. i rather hunt with my camera.

They are amazing plump and stupid. They leave LOTS of crap on my lawn. hahahaha
great shots!! Around here, the wild turkeys are far more cautious!! They don't make a fuss about it, just drift into the woods as you approach...

Coo photographs, EG. When I lived near Boston College decades ago, we had turkeys walking through the back yard every fall. Pheasants, too.

We had the kids over last Saturday. The city boy and his girlfriend were here, too.
GF wandered and looked out the back door at the 12 turkeys. Holy smoke, she was surprised! Our are huge!
How neat to see a whole flock, and better yet, get several pictures of them! I guess they were happy they survived Thanksgiving. :)
