Early February
Largest square: juvenile snowy owl atop a spruce tree. Snowy owls are still here but will leave soon for the Arctic to breed.
Moving clockwise: a female cardinal on a spruce branch, frost and snow on dried milkweed pods, sun going down during a snow squall, ice crystals on ice and ice and slowing water in a local stream.

A lovely collage to start the cold month of February. Happy week ahead!
I have not seen a Snowy Owl in years, what a great find.
Beautiful snow owl. I've never seen one. They don't usually come this far south, but my daughter said they have seen one at their farm in SW Minnesota.
Love that collage... is that a snowy owl?
Beautiful shots. I'm so envious of your owl shot. I've seen a few owls but have never managed to photograph them.
I really love the owl shot.
That is gorgeous - your wildlife captures are amazing, but I really love the milkweed pods!
