Adult Bald Eagle
I can't believe I've seen three bald eagles in less than a week!
Adult's profile
Sunday afternoon, my husband and I were driving along the southern shore of Lake Simcoe when we spotted this adult bald eagle sitting on the ice. I was about to have some fun taking photos of this handsome guy when a loud snowmobile happened by and scared him off, but at least I did get to take a couple of photos.
Juvenile Bald Eagle
Disappointed, I was about to get back into the car when this juvenile Bald Eagle flew over my head and...
landed close to a puddle in the ice and then walked into it. I couldn't see what the eagle was up to until I saw the photo on my computer screen.
Juvie guarding its frozen dinner
Looks to me like there's a frozen duck there and the juvie was laying claim to it.
I am connecting to Stewart M's Wild Bird Wednesday HERE

that is just spectacular!! I'm so glad you were able to get such fantastic pictures so we get to see them up close as well.
Maybe the eagles are making a come back. A few years ago there were no wild turkeys here. Now there's plenty of them around.
There is such a difference in coloring between the adult and the juvie. Glad you captured pics of both.

Gorgeous, you hit the jackpot!
Oh these are incredible what luck and what skill to capture it. Thanks for sharing I love these. Hug B
It is always great when you get to see these birds and even better when you get great shots like you did!
What a great opportunity- a lot nicer than over-decorated houses!
Fantastic shots of these gorgeous birds.
Amazing sightings ... and 3 of them. Great photos.
I still hope to see a Bald Eagle on my board fence but my wife says I am crazy to think that. I love this bird and they are about 7 miles away or you can see them there at the Stillwater River. I had hopes one would come over here but no luck so far. I really like that you have pictures of adults and immature eagles. There is a big difference in their coloring to be sure. There is a difference in the hawks that do show up here and I am always happy to see one of them here.
Nice photos.
How wonderful for you to capture these. We can never get close enough. I love that last one.
These are wonderful eagle shots CG. We see them lots around here but they're always in the sky.
so very, very awesome!!!
I am so envious! What a sight!
WOW! You lucked out, fantastic captures!
It must be hard to photograph birds! But you do it very well!

Wow - so cool to see these eagles so close.
Darn noisy snowmobile anyway☺ Geez...be quiet...smile.
Wonderful birds.
Now he is a hansome dude.
Wow these shots are fantastic! Absolutely amazing!
You are just toooo lucky. So many in such a short time. Love the young one guarding its find and the one in flight is an awesome capture.
Lucky you!! Poor duck, though. At least he provided food for the young eagle. Great series!
Wow! Spectacular captures of these eagles!
Lovely post, great photos!
Stunning bird, wonderful imagery too.... very well done
Wonderful photos, what a day that was for you!
Okay epic!!!! And second, congrats on the beautiful shots!
Very nice photo opportunities with the eagles! We have a pair in our neighborhood here in Florida that laid their first egg just ten days ago.
Very lovely shots of bald eagle.
WoW - I'm stunned. Fabulous shots!
he is gorgeous and so is that young one staring you down over his meal. what a find
Congrats on seeing 3 Bald Eagles in such a short time; your photos are great. That is an interesting observation about the eagle waiting for dinner to thaw out. I am wondering if in view of all that ice, the eagle has a a long wait?
Very exciting to come across these beautiful Eagles, and the last one was a fascinating capture.
This is very exciting. And of course, there's a bit of jealousy here...
Those are great pictures!
aww! impressive shots of the eagles!
These photos are so impressive.
I've never seen anything like it . .
Super WOW!!!
Thanks for posting.
Wow! I would give a lot to have been there. These birds are majestic! Just looking at the talons give me the chills. Death from above...
Fantastic photos!
In awe! Yup that juvenile found a frozen dinner there! I have been trying to find something about where "our" Florida eagles go in the summer...who knows, this guy could be one of the two that hatched here last spring
Wow, awesome shots of the Eagles. The last one with the duck is cool. Have a happy week!
Lucky you to see them up close, gorgeous shots!
I see them rather often, or ours that is. But never can I get that close. Congrats to you.
That is simply incredible! And you even caught a juvenile. They're also making a comeback in our area. Love these!
I love the fierce look on their faces. Gorgeous creatures.
Great photos of those majestic birds.
I won't mention how jealous I am. I'll just say your images are great!
Love that first shot.
Wow! These are awesome! I'm officially jealous!
These are wonderful eagle photos!
Wow!! Eagle is so big!!
The Eagles look great in the snow, more natural than when I have seen them in Florida.
All the best Gordon.
Surely one of the best raptors worldwide. Great photos.
I was in awe when I saw a hawk...I think to see an eagle, let alone 3, takes it to the Blessed Level! :)
Wonderful captures of this magnificent bird ! I am smiling just seeing the photos :)
Fantastic photos! How blessed to be able to capture photos of bald eagles.
Excellent shots, EG. So close wowee!!! MB
Awesome!
Wow! Awesome shots of one of my favorite birds! I guess I love them not only for their majesty, but also for the verse that I think is from Isaiah 40:31 about rising up with strength like the eagles!
hi EG. Wow! Wow! And Wow". fantasitic shots and in the snow! Wow!
Fantastic shots of the bald eagles. I envy you your sightings.
Really awesome captures! Nothing like seeing an eagle.
