Deer in the middle of path
The deer must be very hungry to be out during daylight hours. Clearly, this one knows I'm there with my camera.
Pondering the situation
Wondering if it should stay and munch on some yummy red-osier dogwood or follow the rest of its kin.
Turning off the path
It chewed off a few stems and then followed its family.
I am linking with Saturday Critters HERE.

Judging by the first photo... she loves you.
Pretty deer, they do not seem to mind you taking photos. Thank you for linking up with Saturday's Critters.. Have a happy weekend!
They can be skittish, but this one seems okay. Beautiful!
I love that first portrait!!!! Maybe you are just in an area where they are used to being fed, and so have lost their fear of people...
I guess you can't call this a deer caught in the headlights look... just one caught out in the open.
This little sweetie must have know you were not planning anything harmful.
Lovely photos of one of my favorite animals!
Beautiful captures! I noticed the red dogwoods all chewed down last Saturday when we were out.
Beautiful pictures.
I'm with you. I hate crowded beaches. But one must admit this is a pretty attractive place to be - especially on the weekends! :)
Nice of him/her to allow you time for a photo shoot. The ones I see are quickly on the run.
My very favorite animal, and what a beauty she is!!!
Have a wonderful weekend.
i am thrilled to see her here and i can't imagine how thrilled i would be to see one LIVE
such a pretty doe!
Very lovely deer.
That must have been fun to find that beauty on the path. The White Tail Deer is so much prettier than our Mule Deer that we see here.
Clearly, she's the one that knows you're there with a camera. ...and how lovely she looks in these winter pics.... Thank you for sharing with us!

Such a cute innocent look in the first one.
I guess a lot of his food is hidden under that snow again. Lovely pictures.Have a great weekend.
Great photos. We don't get deer, nearby, so it's great to see some closeups.
What a beauty!
Great shots. We have lots of deer here in East Texas and we occasionally see them in our meadow, in our driveway, and in our backyard. They're always a treat to spot.
Lovely photos! Love deer!
Beautiful! and I really like the way you have caught the indecision shown by the body stance.
Hello sweet face, you are just adorable.
Sweet!
They are probably fed up with this winter too!
They're beautiful animals.
Interesting, our deer are here all the time! I hauled in some wood, and spotted several in the forest.
They are at the end, hopefully, the snow won't melt too quickly, and freeze plants, but we'll see what happens!

Just beautiful.
Ya, apples are pretty much buried by March's snow-cover.

Pretty nice of the young deer to show you his best side.
Very touching photographs.
It appears she was posing for you. Lovely deer images!
The deer looks to be healthy and that is good. Last spring the deer around here were so skinny.

So nice of him to pose for you.
Looks like you discovered a deer supermodel. She sure posed good for you.
I love spotting dear when I am out and about, I rarely have my camera though. Terrific captures!
A fiend girl and a not shy deer.
We have been seeing more and more deer out during the day here too. I think they are getting hungry for Spring just as we are. Nice images. MB
Lots of deer visit us in the mountains. They are quite used to us and unless we startle them we can watch them from the deck as they wander about.

He's beautiful! Posed just perfectly for you. :)
They are such beautiful pests!
;)
Yes I think they must be hungry. We have mule deer here in Utah.
She's lovely...I hope not too hungry! This heavy winter must be hard on all the critters!
It's been such a hard winter for the animals.
