Bleeding Hearts
I love the perennials in my gardens because even though I have little time to tend them right now, they are blooming anyway! These are some of the flowers blooming on Sunday.

Tulips
Tulips on the wane, but still pretty

Your garden is full of colour.
Pretty clear why they call them "Bleeding Hearts". ;-)
I've never seen bleeding heart flowers before - they're adorable! And I love your tulips' variety of colors! Especially the white one with red edges and yesterday's flamboyant red and yellow.
that bleeding heart is beyond magnifcent.. so beautiful. do you use the same camera on our macro shots as on your distance? these are awesome shots
I love all your shots, particularly the bleeding hearts shot. The composition is outstanding.
Isn't it a pure treat when you know you should be out in the garden but you can't and yet mostly everything just gets on with it.
Those gorgeous Bleeding Hearts are so perfect in every way.
All your beautiful blooms are quite impressive, as is your photography :D)
Such pretty colours!
I like perennials, too. Those bleeding hearts are gorgeous, as are all of these flowers. I especially like the tulip with the red edges. I've never seen one quite like it.
PERFECT photos, and I love the bleeding hearts, my mother's favorite flower.
All are so very beautiful. Love the Bleeding Hearts. Hug B
That's the good thing about the spring flowers they just keep coming back stronger every year.. Would be fab if they lasted a wee bit longer though.. you're garden must look a treat EG, beautifully shown here.
Gorgeous...my mother's favorite spring flower was the bleeding heart like this you show. But, when I lived in Arizona, the bleeding heart plant was NOT at all like this [in the plant nurseries' sales floor]. Instead it was like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ce/Clerodendrum_thomsoniae_-_bleeding-heart_vine_-_desc-flowers_-_from-DC1.jpg
I am a perennial sort of guy. It touches me somehow when they come up in the spring after a horrendous winter.
I have never seen a Bleeding Heart plant before. Little wonder as to how it came by it's name.
Those bleeding hearts are beautiful!! I have not seen globe flowers...
Those bleeding hearts are beautiful!! I have not seen globe flowers...
What great flower shots! I especially love the bleeding hearts.
Love those Bleeding Hearts, EG!
so very pretty! no maintenance is my favorite kind of plant/flower. :)
An incredible sight to behold EG, your photos are fantastic! I have never seen the tulips in your first photo of them, the ones that are creamy tinged with red. Exquisite! And the bleeding hearts, wow! I also loved those globeflowers with that wonderfully bright green background, such a lovely contrast to the yellow.
How beautiful these are!
I spent part of my morning photographing my bleeding heart plants. They are exceptionally beautiful this year.
All are gorgeous, but I do love the bleeding hearts. And the fact they are blooming now testifies to the TLC you gave them earlier!
If only the beauty of the bleeding heart flowers transferred this bleeding heart liberal.
The globeflowers are beautiful and calm, I like the yellow and green
together- alone...

Those hearts are very special, but my favorite are the golden little suns !
I wasn't familiar with globeflowers until now, they are so pretty! As for bleeding hearts, I'm terribly jealous! The ones I planted over and over in my parent's garden always died...
Certainly worth the wait. Love Bleeding Hearts. I have some new ones called Gold Heart. The leaves are a more chartreuse color but the flower is the same. I planted them under some beech trees and with the lighter color foliage they really stand out. MB
I like the Tulips and the Bleeding Hearts- very pretty.
Bleeding hearts are the most unusual plants!
Each one a beauty.
Wonderful macros, flowers and textures.
beautiful colours and macros. I have never seen a Bleeding Heart flower before - so beautiful.
Have a great week. I am joining you at Our World Tuesday.
Good show!! Boom, Bobbi and Gary.
Exquisite flowers, gorgeous colors and such perfect captures! They took my breath away!! Thank you for sharing the colorful beauty of your world!!
These are really beautiful.
I'm a tad jealous of the bleeding hearts. :) Beautiful!! The white tulip outlined in red is pretty special, too.
Oh, I was surprised to see the hear-shaped flower; how fantastic(^_^)v
Globeflower and Tulips are also beautiful; and thank you very much for the phrase 'on the wane' ;)
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Very, very pretty, EG.
Beautiful colors and blooms!
Very pretty flowers.
Gorgeous flower shots.
I love all the perennials in your garden too, especially the bleeding hearts which are a childhood favourite of mine and haven't a hope of growing in our dry climate.
What a beautiful series of images... and flowers!
Beautiful group of flowers. I miss my bleeding heart which stopped coming back years ago so especially happy to see this one.
A wonderful selection of blooms!
Great color. I like them all but the bleeding hearts are more unusual for me.

i have been away on a camping adventure. & now just getting back to replying & talking to you guys again. hope you are well. ( ;
Lovely blooms! The bleeding hearts are so delicate.
Beautiful images.
Magnificent colours.
Beautiful photos. I just love the bleeding hearts.
Beautiful flowers and photo's.
Love the bleeding heart shot! I used to have one, but an old dog dug it up. She was the neighborhood dog...she had been abused...so I just did not say a word to her. If I came out to sweep the porch with the broom and did not realize she was around, it scared her to death.
These are beautiful Tina.. My garden is behind the norm in blooming due to the cold spring.... Michelle
Gorgeous blooms!
=)
I love the bleeding hearts and the pretty tulips. Gorgeous flowers and post.
they are all so pretty but I'm partial to the bleeding heart. looks like spring has arrived in all her glory.
